kk650's Star Wars Saga: Regraded and Semi-Specialized (Released)

I’m kinda of surprise we haven’t heard of a TLJ regraded announcement. Last year around this time he released RO just days after the digital release. Leading up a couple weeks before releasing RO he did v2.6 updates of ANH and TESB. Even back in December leading up to TLJ in theaters he did V3’s of the PT. Id figure he would have done something similar. Like having ESB 2.6 with Ian McDiarmid, ROTJ 2.6 with the choice or Yub Nub or Victory Celebration. He also spoke of a V2 of TFA a couple months back. I’m not trying to sound impatient or anything, its just he usually has a regrade announcement just days after it’s release.

the_magicman uploaded my 2GB, 11GB and 23GB regrades of The Last Jedi a few days ago, the same two sites he’s uploaded all my other releases. If you or anybody else wants to know where, send me a PM.

Are the OT releases still available on UL? Not asking for direct links, just curious.

Help: looking for... info - Which version?

After looking at kk650’s version, I have to agree about the color. Shame too since this is the perfect blend of SE and original footage that I like.

Is there another version that has better colors with similar footage?

I know this is an ancient thread of mine, but I was wondering if any other edits have come out since that might fit what I’m looking for in EpIV?
Essentially the original movie with the SE ships during the battle of Yavin kept in.

I’m looking for the following HD versions if they exist:

  1. Star Wars - The original movie with the exception of starfighter CGI (from the SE) remaining during the Death Star attack.

You’ll have to make this yourself. People who have made semi-specialized versions always seem to include the Tatooine dinosaurs. So much is changed in that film, there would never be a semi consensus, and would just require DIY.

  1. Empire - Original with Bespin CGI and Ian McDiarmid

KK650 says he has a version coming out very soon with Ian’s emperor. I think he also has some of the full Wompa shots in it, though.

  1. Jedi - Original

Harmy’s 2.0 will soon be out.

I can live with the Tatooine dewbacks, which semi-specialized versions are out there?

I am using an old Gravis GamePad Pro. I go through the calibration at the start of the game but I cannot move the stick anywhere but down right.

Does it work properly in the system and only fails in DOSBOX? Is it the only game where it's giving you problems? What are your DOSBOX version and joystick settings?

I got it to work finally after using the LA patch for joysticks. I also gave up on the Windows 2000 box I was trying to run it on and am just running everything on my Win7 x64 box. It all works flawlessly now.

I don't play any of my pc games anymore but I know I have these lying around in a box....Shadows of the Empire is one I'd probably consider going back to with this DOSBox thingy.....

If you have the X-Wing Trilogy collection (X-wing/Tie Fighter/X-Wing Alliance for Windows) on CD let me know. I'll buy it from you.

I have the DOS versions of the Collector's editions I used DOSBOX and I now have proper graphics/sound. Problem is now I cannot get my USB gamepad to properly calibrate. I am using an old Gravis GamePad Pro. I go through the calibration at the start of the game but I cannot move the stick anywhere but down right. Any ideas what DOSBOX settings I need to change?

I have done a Hybrid version of Revisited & Purist.......Keeps Re-ordered version of Ben's conversation....then cuts to Purist version of Death Star reveal (without Imperial March) & DS briefing room (without Emperors Theme)....cuts back to Revisited up to Ben & Vaders duel....which is the Purist cut (without prequel music).....cut back to Revisited up till the TIE's in formation.....which is purist (without Imperial March).....then on to Revisited for Finale.

What's the name of your edit?

I really like what Ady and Harmy are doing with their edits. It’s beyond impressive but after watching both versions I am wanting something else. I actually like some of the added CG scenes from the 97SE (particularly from the Death Star Battle in ANH). Ady’s version is also amazing but I think he went a little too far in adding stuff especially after I watched his version of the Death Star Battle.

Is there a version that is a cut that falls between Ady’s and Harmy’s?

I basically want some of the CG scenes (exteriors/ships) included but do not want some of the horrific GL additions in there.

I’m looking for:

-Han shooting first

-No Jabba scene

-restored/corrected colors and sabers

-no SE Wampa

-original Emperor scene in ESB with Vader

-no awful Jabba’s palace musical number

  • original ROTJ ending (although I don’t mind the 97SE version) but with Shaw back in as Anakin
