Help: looking for... Fantasia (original 1940 general release version)
Time

Fantasia got a huge theatrical rerelease in 1990, I would think some of those prints would be in “circulation.”

Really, all I would like is an HD copy of the film that hasn’t been DNRd to heck and back and without crappy Deems Taylor overdubs. The 1990 version is fine for that purpose, even if it is still censored

Help: looking for... Fantasia (original 1940 general release version)
Time

I have PM’d a few folks about this but have not had much luck:

I am looking for a scan of the original 1940 general release version of Fantasia (NOT the “restored” reconstructed censored roadshow version with contemporary overdubs that is available on bluray). Does such a thing exist in reasonable quality and if so could anyone PM me with a link as where to obtain it?

That is a nice looking print! Can you tell us a little more about where it came from? What year is it? Is it kodak or fuji film?

Hi, this is film material is ORWO, is it from Czechoslovakia 1985. This copy is from professional telecine studio.

Looks very nice, any way you can make it available?

Thanks 😃

Amadeus - Theatrical Cut Restoration 1080p (V3 Now Available)
Time

Not sure if jimbotron235 is still following this message board but I wanted to give him a big shout out for doing this. I hate the DC of this film with a passion and it’s been years since I have seen the original cut. I enjoyed the heck out of watching this last night. Such a great movie. I wonder if there are any useable 35mm prints of this floating around out there…

Raiders of the Lost Ark 35mm LPP Theatrical Experience - v1.0 (Released)
Time

From what I understand MySpleen is no longer accepting invites and I don’t know how to use Usenet so…is there wnywhere else to get this and if so could someone kindly message me the place to do so? I cannot stand the Raiders BluRay and after viewing the amazing 4K77 version of Star Wars I am all about finding these scans from theatrical prints.

Download the other parts and try it again later - the links sometimes go bad for a bit but then they get back to normal. Or try downloading that one part in your browser. Also, I recommend using FreeRapid Downloader for uloz.to - it fills in the captchas for you automatically.

I ended up downloading in my browser. All the problems may have been with Jdownloader, which doesn't seem to want to play nice with my PC. Or I just plain don't know how it works.

At any rate Star Wars 2.5 and Empire 2.0 look pretty great. I can't even imagine how much work it took to create these. Thanks for the effort.

Well perhaps he was asking if it'd be LEGAL for him to do.
Let me assure you that it's illegal regardless of wether or not you own all the versions of star wars on any format.

Just download it and enjoy.

Ok,that's what I needed to know Thanks,I've heard that V2.0 remastered was great.

OFF TOPIC:P.S I own the 2008 box set(which has the 2004SE DVD/2006 GOUT DVD) and the 1997 SE VHS TAPE.
