Good & bad news.

Bad: my website is offline

Good: all my books are available again! Volume 1-4 went OOP last year and are now available on Lulu.com
Volume 5 got re-released as well, as an updated and expanded edition.

On that site you can check each volume and see which interviews are included.

Here’s the cover of the last book in this 5-volume series:

That is sad to read. I hope that your website will be online for many years to come!

(But I also hope the 40th Anniversary of ROTJ, and 50th Anniversary in 2027, may see you change your mind and do more interviews with people from the OT era?)

Thank you for all your efforts.

Do you have links to your 5 books?

Thanks for the kind words! I appreciate it.

My books are on Amazon but they’re OOP. Perhaps some 3rd party sellers have 'em? I’ve also seen them on eBay and the site of Walmart.
Search for my name on those sites or simply the titles.

Star Wars Interviews: Volume 1 – The Original Trilogy and Expanded Universe (Pulp Hero Press)
Star Wars Interviews: Volume 2 – The Original Trilogy and Expanded Universe (Pulp Hero Press)
Star Wars Interviews: Volume 3 – The Prequel Trilogy and Expanded Universe (Pulp Hero Press)
Star Wars Interviews: Volume 4 – The Force Awakens, Rogue One and Expanded Universe (Pulp Hero Press)
Star Wars Interviews: Volume 5 – The Lucas Saga, The Mandalorian and Expanded Universe (self published)

As for the website: unfortunately it’s a matter of months, not years.

Regarding more interviews: the “OT era pond has run out of fishes…and the fishes that are still in it won’t bite”.
Besides the actors I met at events, over the last 17.5 years I’ve asked a LOT of actors to do an interview.
Just name 'em and there’s a good chance I tried. No replies, not interested… even cases where they were willing to do an interview only to back out later.

I did 4 more and published them in the last couple of days.

RICHARD BELLIS; the composer of the Star Tours music!
Thrilled to have him “on my site” and imho a nice interview

JOHN WHITMAN, author of the Galaxy of Fear books!

WILLIAM C. DIETZ, author of the Dark Forces Trilogy!

And a short one with TERRY MADDEN; Assistant Director of A NEW HOPE. Unfortunately he didn’t remember a lot what happened 45 years ago, so it’s a short one.

Hi!,

Some of you may know about my website StarWarsInterviews.
This site focuses on the stories cast & crew from the Star Wars movies have to tell.
Since 2005 I have done over 210 interviews, which are also collected in a 5-volume book series.

Two years ago I semi-retired but recently did an interview with Michael Pangrazio, who worked at ILM during the days of the original trilogy and was responsible for several famous scenes (including the legendary warehouse shot from Raiders)

I hope you enjoy it!

A new and intriguing interview with Craig Miller, the Director of Fan Relations for Lucasfilm back in the day, and also the man who wrote all of the Fantha Tracks newsletters.

He also talks about Lucas telling his plan, at the time, for Return Of The Jedi…

“The biggest thing was, as you mentioned, that Boba was intended to be the main villain in Return of the Jedi. That film was going to be about rescuing Han, dealing with Boba, etc. The redemption of Darth Vader and overthrow of the Emperor was intended for the next trilogy. But when George decided in 1980 not to do that next trilogy, Boba Fett became expendable and those things had to be dealt with in the third movie.”

and some other intriguing stuff in the interview too…

(Both the ‘Original Trilogy’ and the ‘Star Wars Crew’ sections of StarWarsInterviews.com are well worth checking out too.)

Thanks for the kind words!
The site is a ‘labor of love’; all 210+ interviews were done by myself from 2005 - 2021.
(Well, mostly 2005 - 2019…in 2020 & 2021 I did less than a handful since I semi-retired)

Shameless self promotion: they’re also available in the form of 5 paperback books: https://www.amazon.com/Dennis-Pellegrom/e/B07HKQ2G5M

Best,
Dennis
