Blade Runner: The Complete Music Collection (work-in-progress)

Hi Focuspuller!

Sorry if I came across like a right tool in my last post.

Now my interest considerably piqued. The announcement that you've bought a CS-80 opens up all sorts of possibilities. When I released my version of the BR soundtrack some years ago, I used Arturia's CS-80v soft synth to fill in a few gaps and transitions. As you probably know software (although pretty good sometimes) cannot replace the real thing.

It sounds like your still pretty committed to the project - good luck to you!.

First of all let me say this is the last time i will mention my project now that Focuspuller's back in the game.

If anyone wants to download it in Flac, it's up on the blade runner soundtrack group forum in the files section, with a few tweaks here and there and upgraded artwork.

@digitalfreaknyc, you are completely right about the prologue, it was the cleanest source i had without hiss or distortion.

But it was only a portion of the first track about 2mins out of 130mins total, so you can't write off a project on that basis.

This has been rectified now for the flac version, although the speed up was barely perceptible.

I don't question how much of a fan you are, and you have been well indulged in your posts. But to continue as you have is bad form. Please respect this thread and this project.

Focuspuller i have total respect for you and your project, but in light of your extended absence i was just offering a little stop gap for people patiently waiting for yor return.

I'm definitely not trying to take anything away from your work, i'm still looking forward to hearing it but it's all smoke with no fire, why don't you just make disc 1 available so we can all hear what you've accomplished.

I know you want to release this project as a set but it might be another 6 months or a year before you finish discs 2 & 3.

Also i know this thread is for your work but it's been pretty much dead for 4 or 5 months and it's a little bit rich for you to say i should be posting elsewhere, when you announce your project on a Star Wars related forum.

I wish you all the best and hope you achieve all you set out to, i won't be posting here anymore but i will stop by once in a while to check on your progress.

Anyone wanting to download my mix the links are now up on the final fantasy shrine forum (The Blade Runner Soundtrack Ultimate Thread).

This was not my decision but Kirkenshrir's, he took that choice away from me.

I had been considering the FF forums but ultimately i think i would have posted it on the blade runner soundtracks group forum, because that's where i acquired the 2019 copy.

First of all the links are gone :-(

I guess i p***ed off the mod(s), that's a shame as we're all fans here trying to help each other out. If i stepped on someone's toes i apologize....not much more i can say.

It's all speculative as to whether it's the closest anyone's got to a soundtrack with no effects, i made it for myself and it turned out ok, so i thought i would share it.

The only small thing that's missing is the short Deckard at the piano (thinking of Rachel) piece, i love that cue but there's no clean source anywhere.

Speaking of which i purposely left out the unicorn dream music that killed that beautiful scene also the ambiguity of Deckard.

If It ain't broke, don't fix it, Richard Kelly made the same mistake with Donnie Darko the director's cut.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, glad you like it!

@ethanwa Tears In Rain is definitely included, i tested the rar files before uploading to rapidshare. Mabe you need to update your winrar.

My thoughts on the swooshing, it's been implied by various sources that Vangelis created alot of the sound effects for Blade Runner. If this is true those sounds are part of the track, and yes it's impossible to remove it.

First of all i would like to thank Zhora for pointing me in the right direction to download the 2019 edition, cheers!

This was a bit of a revelation to me as i've been working on my dream blade runner soundtrack for a while now.

The 2019 edition is not perfect though, some major editing work was required and the volume levels are all over the place but in essence what i needed to make a satisfying BR soundtrack was all there.

With a week or so editing & mixing the 2019 tracks and many many weeks working on the rest, it's finally done.

And now my friends i thought i would share it with you....call it a stop gap till Focuspuller finishes his project.

http://img180.imageshack.us/i/bladeh.png/

All tracks are in chronological order as they appear in the film, disc 01 and half of disc 02 is the main soundtrack, the rest is made up of outtakes and bonus tracks.

It's worth noting that there is virtually no sound effects or any dialog in the whole mix.

The files are encoded with Lame Cbr @320, i have also included my custom artwork.

You can download it from here:

[REMOVED]

Enjoy!

This thread is starting to remind me of LOST.....all tease with no pay off whatsoever!

Why don't people announce these projects when they are near completion?

Because they like to be fellated by fanboys who hang on their every word until the projects complete.

I'm not a hater btw, i was genuinely looking forward to the finished product, but it's time to end this charade for good.
