Have you just looked at the Preview picture? The're some small failures in it. I made the previews, for advertisement in the german community, before I figured out that I have made some slight failures. The Title Logos on the spine are in that direction they are on the british fullscreen tapes. It's just wrong on the preview picture. BTW the Title Logos on the spine, of the german THX Tapes, are in the opposite direction.

I didn't search for another Yoda. I think he's okay. I didn't like the Yoda they have used for the THX Tapes so I used that cool Yoda, even its the wrong Yoda.

I have made my own Star Wars THX Covers. Nothing out of the ordinary. I just remade the original german THX VHS Covers for Amaray Cases in german and english.

Star Wars THX Covers

The Site is german only but you just have to click on the disk icons. Their size is about 7 to 9 mb. The picture size is different so you might have to change it. It's standart DIN A4 which is different in measurements als regular US paper sheets. The resolution is 300dpi.

The Executor VHS Set

This Set was sold in several countries in Europe. I know three Shops in Germany who sold this set. The Price Range was from 75,-$ to 125,-$ - depending on the store. I bought mine on Ebay, a couple of years ago, for 75,-€ incl. shipping. At this time most auctions endet with more than 100,-€ for this set. A couple of month ago I have seen this sets on Ebay Germany with an ending of 20 - 25,-€.

What Special Edition changes (if any) did people like?
Time
I like most changes. What I really dislike is the new Han & Jabba scene in ANH because it doesn't fit into the movie. Not because the digital Jabba is bad, its just the harsh break in the way the story is told. Another thing is the Han shoots second scene, or at the same time on the DVD. Han Solo doesn't wait to get into trouble, he is the trouble! After that I really dislike the magical musical in JEDI. That scene doesn't fit into that movie! It's like the genre switched for a moment.

All the other Changes are really okay for me. Well, there was no real need for that scenes but they are okay since they are. I specially like the new sound when the stormtrooper hits the door in ANH. That's a scene you can show people who have seen this movie at least ten times and they still haven't noticed, even with the sound on the DVD.

Info: Framing a 35mm Print?
Time
Hi,

I have a bunch of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment Germany promotional slides and 35mm prints. Actually I have never really thought about framing my 35mm prints but I have framed one of the promotional slides. I've done it in a frame and went to a photo store to make a photo print. Then I bought a sheet of black paper. I cut out one hole for the print and another one for the slide. I taped the slide with crystal cleer tape and the print on a white paper sheet. Then I've done the black sheet and the white sheet together and framed it. You can clearly see the slide and if you want to get the details you can take a look on the print. Two film frames have, more or less, the same size as a single slide. If you cut two frames and put it in a slide frame you can get a print of it.

Here's a comparisson chart of the sizes:

btw, thats a Scan of the promotional slide:

If you want one, for your collection, drop me a line.
