I am curious to check this out as well. I liked some aspects of the series, but it did drag in some parts.
There is an International Uncut and a U.S. Director’s Cut with differing material: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091203/alternateversions?tab=cz&ref_=tt_trv_alt
Most edits I’ve seen are of Highlander II, but there is at least one recent edit of the first film: https://ifdb.fanedit.org/highlander-the-black-knight/
There are flashback scenes in Highlander II. There might be some useful material there that could be brought into the first film.
I hadn’t seen this, so I am glad someone revived this thread. Some nice visual work. It would be amazing to see the whole film get a similar facelift, but I imagine it would be quite the effort.
I am interested in a link as well. Thanks. 😃
“Used a reversed shot to extend the pause between the blaster shot and IG falling to the ground.”
I love the edit for this alone. I always thought it was too quick.
I skimmed the first few episodes and I really like some of the ideas, such as with the first Hulk film and what looks like some important moments from Agents of SHIELD (which I’ve never watched). I will definitely check this out in full when I have time and some additional episodes are out.
I just watched a bunch of your Vimeo clips and there are some interesting ideas in there to make it work as a film. Looking forward to watching the full edit! It will be a good refresher for Season 2.
Are you still going with the Day 1, Day 2, etc type of edit? It might interesting to split it into episodes that are 45-60 minutes (each day).
Are you still working on your edit Delpheas? Most other edits I’ve found use the theatrical cut of Revenge of the Sith. I think the NFBism’s New Canon Cut is the one of the best fanedits of Episode III and I am really curious to see how your addition of The Clone Wars final arc.
Did you use the original theatrical cut as your base for episode III?
If so, I wonder if using NFBisms New Canon Cut as your base might make your edit even better (NFBisms edit aims to make Episode III more in sync with The Clone Wars show, as well as improve Anakin’s fall and fix some excesses in the film).
I’d be interested in checking your edit out Mr. Lightyear. : )
I loved season 1 of Stranger Things, but the subsequent two seasons were a bit too bloated for me. Curious to see how movies 2 and 3 turn out. It would be interesting to do Movie 2.5 with the El storyline.
