If anyone wants this and hasn’t been able to get it yet, pm me.
If anyone wants this and hasn’t been able to get it yet, pm me.
I’m not an expert on the situation.
Apparently all 3 extended were released in theaters.
But only FOTR and TTT were put on 35mm film for that purpose. ROTK was not.
So potentially one day there could be a TTT extended scan, but never a ROTK EE 35mm scan.
Anyone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong 😃.
Hi. I’m new to the forum here. I would l d be interested in learning if it’s possible to download 4k77, 4k80, and 4k83. I love Star Wars and hate the numerous changes George made from the beginning. Lol.
There are lots of different versions of 4kxx. For the official releases, there are 1080p vs 2160p UHD, DNR vs no-dnr (vs different levels of DNR).
Then there are offshoots and different projects such as this wonderful one by TR2N.
To see all of them and decide which you want, see the link in the first page of this thread.
https://originaltrilogy.com/topic/4K77-Released/id/60815
If you know which (official) versions you want, and don’t want to join another forum, send me a pm and maybe I can help.
I think the initial confusion is that you mean rotj 2.5* (not 2.7) is still listed.
And I think that’s a valid question (which might have a good answer/justification):
Why is rotj 2.5 still listed when rotj 3.1 is released (and presumably supercedes it)?
has anyone else encountered an error that part 2 of the RAR is corrupted, when trying to extract the 3.1 UHD MKV? I’ve tried redownloading part 2, and still get the error.
It’s available at 2 different sources. Did you try both?
Hey, just stumbled on this while trying to find the original trilogy without the CGI added. The only places after looking around, the only places I’ve seen to download is on invite required sites. Is there a link I’m missing where I can see this?
Check the first post here for info relating to invite:

This is a moderately okay fan edit.
Then why don’t you get off your high horse and justify your outrageous assessment of this work. That it can be done “better”, which you should know.
I think we’re all caught up again.
Anyone who is still looking can still PM me.
Hey everyone, is there some place to get the latest version of 4k77 DNR version? (extra points for 4k83).
Please delete if I am not allowed to ask. Thanks.
Best way is probably to check the first post in this thread, and join that other website.
I did it today from Canada without a VPN. Let me send you a pm.
Updates to my guide for Harmy’s DEED are upcoming. This document is intended to help answer the common questions on how to obtain Harmy’s releases, but is admittedly outdated at the moment. Expect minor updates today and refinement over the next week or two.
When an alternative, verified download source becomes available for ROTJ DEED v3.0, I can provide direction to that. Feel welcome to DM me if you are aware of such options.
Harmy: Can we get checksums for the successfully-extracted files to verify the integrity of downloaded copies? Thanks for your continued amazing work!
Hi
Any chance to check part 48 for UHD at Mega
I just tried it and it downloaded fine and passed the sfv check.
Is there a link for this available?
The first post in the thread/link below has an “ultimate introductory guide” link to HanDuet’s guide which shows where you can get Respecialized (and other stuff from Harmy).
https://originaltrilogy.com/topic/Harmys-STAR-WARS-Despecialized-Edition-HD-V2-7-MKV-Released/id/12713That doesn’t seem to mention how to acquire the respecialised versions unfortunately - the 1997 versions are mentioned in the source files of other projects available, but that’s it
From the start of the guide…well you should read the whole guide, but try to go to Section 3, then down to step 7, there’s a link there.
If you scroll down, there’s an “Other Projects by Harmy” section, and that has new hope '97 respecialized.
If you were looking for ESB/ROTJ, I don’t think Harmy respecialized those.
Question - Has FOTR Extended 35mm been released? I see that in the title but haven’t heard anything else about it…
Yes.
And like the Theatrical releases, you can PM me for directions.
I remember trying the 2160p versions with VLC and the colours looked really off compared to the 1080p. Instead I tried MPV player on Windows, and it looked much better.
I guess you are on Mac, if you are using IINA. I never really used Mac, so I don’t know what alternatives there are, or if there’s any way to make IINA handle the HDR better.
Is there a media player classic or MPV?
Just did a quick search and looks like there is “Unofficial third-party builds” of MPV. Maybe try that?
damn sounds cool. where can i find this edition?
Check the first post in this thread.
😃
I’m glad that it wasn’t the effect of hired goons breaking into your home.
Thanks for continuing to admin this place. I was worried!
Hired goons?
Any links?
I haven’t actually watched it to confirm, but I think it might be this:

I don’t see how mkv vs mp4 would make a difference. MKVs are just containers for other formats, which could be using the same (or probably better) compression algorithm as an mp4
Agree. Just that Benjjedi had complained about 2 things. File size and mkv. So I was providing alternatives for both 😃.
Hey, sorry to be a bother and I’m not sure where else to ask about this, but does anybody have an mp4/MPEG file of TESB DE v2.0? I don’t need it in any other format like MKV (too big), I’ll just be happy with the mp4 version, like I said. I’ve already got the original SW and ROTJ despecialized as mp4s; Empire is the only one I need. So if anybody has said DE as an mp4, please respond or even PM me ASAP.
Handuet’s guide from the first post has 3 versions for ESB DE. They are labeled “MKV”, “AVCHD”, and “NTSC DVD5”.
I don’t remember the exact file format/extension for each of the files. But in terms of “too big”, I think from the 3 options:
MKV: 20gb
AVCHD: 8gb
DVD5: 4.2gb
Maybe you could grab the AVCHD.
It might also be “mkv”, which shouldn’t really matter. But if it does you can convert it to mp4 easily without re-encoding using ffmpeg (and probably other tools).
Something like
ffmpeg -i original-avchd-input-file.mkv -c copy new-mp4-output-avchd-file.mp4
I would like to point out that many Blu-ray players hooked up to HDTV’s will not play video files encoded in H265 (my 4K Blu-ray player won’t, even though it’s a new model from only two years ago), so if you are going to use H265 at some point, please also make versions of the V3.1 MKV despecialized Return of the Jedi (and V3.0 of the first two films of the trilogy) encoded in H264 for compatibility with all Blu-ray players. Thanks for all the efforts, V3.0 looks great, Harmy! =) Also, thanks to those who worked hard on the film scans, audio tracks and subtitles! =)
Is the 1080p version H264?
In the post quoted below, Harmy says he’s never done h265
Yeah, the encoding could be better. I never encoded h265 before, so I could definitelly use some guidance.
I think the post you were quoting was in response to the potential of using h265 for a future (3.1?) release.
So, I tried a few of the Google Drive links, but they are always down.
Then I tried the uloz links with the recommended tool. Both times, after completing the download, I’d try extracting the folder only to get a CRC error.
I used to have a MySpleen account but forgot my password and the security question reply, so that’s not an option either.
So, what are my options? Wait for it to be uploaded to 1337x?
The first post of this thread, there’s a link to the “Ultimate Introductory Guide” (which now points to “HanDuet’s Guide”). Follow those steps to find alternative mega links.
is there any chance that beta 5 could be uploaded to a certain organ?
It’s there.
I’m rolling along with the new MEGA links (thank you), got about 10 to go. Just wondering what the SFV files are and do I need them?
Thanks
It’s a checksum on the RARs.
You can use it (with QuickSFV or cksfv or…) to confirm the integrity of the RAR files.
I would say that if you get all the RAR files and everything extracts easily, no errors, then you’re fine.
If it doesn’t work and your unrar program doesn’t tell you which RAR files are corrupt, then you can use the sfv to help.
