You mentioned rolling back the Revisited Death Star Plans because of Rogue One. Just wondered if you plan on going back to the pink X-Wing engine glow too.

Yes, the engines are now pink.

Progress on the Wampa;

Started layering the fur onto the mask. A very time consuming task as this has to be done in small sections at a time. I’ll be gluing the fur onto the mask as much as possible and then hair punching the rest to blend in the edges to give a more natural look.

So most likely march cool looking forward to seeing it.

Where did you get that idea?

There’s not many days left in the month that’s why.

What?

Now what did i do? Give me a damn break. I didn’t do anything this time.

It’s because nowhere in Ady’s post does he mention a release month or a likely number of days remaining before the release. You are plucking March out of thin air, based on no evidence. That’s a perfect example of why people get annoyed with you.

If you can’t keep your comments factual, I recommend not making any comments at all. No-one will get annoyed with you then.

I’d just like to add my praise and thanks to Ady for sharing this latest superb clip. As usual his dedication and meticulous attention to detail in this project shines through, and once again confirms just how well worth the wait it will all be. ANH Revisited was an absolute triumph, but I suspect ESB Revisited will put it to shame! This really is shaping up to be an astonishing piece of work.

I’d also like to add my thanks to doubleofive for his excellent comparison screenshots which really help highlight Ady’s brilliant work. They are much appreciated.

Well this sucks. Ady, so sorry to see you go, but I do of course understand your reasons. I hope you get the break you need and I also hope you manage to sort out your financial problems swiftly.

Like many others, I would like to thank you sincerely for all the magnificent and selfless work you have already put into the Revisited project, and all that you continue do in the future. Your brilliant efforts are very much appreciated, and not just by me. Your work is loved around the world because you put so much passion into it, and I am sure the silent majority here are just as much behind you as I am.

Good luck, and thank you again.

Yeah, Ady. If you die, that would probably be a shame, but never mind that. What’s REALLY important if you kick the bucket is that we still get to see the Revisited films (for free, even though we’ve done nothing to deserve them). I hope you’ve given some thought to that because otherwise you might look phenomenally selfish…

and as always, this forum never disappoints in its sarcasm and childish put downs. I was just asking if he had a team that would continue his work if something ever happened. But i should have known that asking a simple honest question will always get some sort of ridicule here. its a shame there are so many self righteous, and egotistical people here. hope your reply made you feel better about your life.

It’s funny, because what you appeared to be asking is if you would still get to see Revisited if Ady died before finishing it. Whichever way you want to cut it, that’s a pretty selfish and downright rude thing to ask, and it absolutely warranted the scorn it received. If you genuinely cannot see anything wrong with your original question then I suggest you go back and read it again.

i apologize if my post original post seemed insensitive. however, there ARE nicer ways of bringing this to a persons attention. there is no need to belittle someone.

after looking at my original post i understand why there was such backlash to my comments. death was a just the most extreme thing that came to mind when i originally asked my question. i was, in a non-serious way, trying to find out if he had plans for the future in case he could not complete his vision. of course if Ady would pass on the last thing i would honestly be upset about would be not seeing his completed edits. he has given so much to this community and inspired a lot of people including myself and i appreciate all he has done.

i thought that my post would be clear. obviously i was wrong. my apologies for the confusion and if my question was considered to be rude. i will remove the post and hopefully we can all move on.

lesson learned

Fair enough, and very well done for being willing to reconsider your position. That takes a strength of character that not everyone possesses.

As for belittling you, yes there are other ways this could have been handled. Since you have been strong enough to say sorry for anything you could have done differently, I am also more than happy to apologise to you if you feel I overstepped the mark in my response.

I also applaud the sentiment that we should all move on. After all, we have a fantastic edit from Adywan to look forward to, and I’m sure we’d all much rather talk about that 😃

3fW- welcome to forum.

You are of course entitled to your opinions, however I firmly side with brash_stryker - sometimes things are better left unsaid.

Personally, I don't happen to share your opinions.  I do not believe with the multitude of personal and project-based challenges, problems and obstacles cast into Ady's path throughout the history of this project, that it is taking an excessive amount of time to complete.  What it is doing is demonstrating to the world just how amazingly dedicated to the project and his craft Ady actually is!  How generous and resourceful he is, and how single-mindedly determined he must be to see it through to completion.

Most people would never even contemplate beginning a project like this.  Most people that actually did begin one would not keep at it for very long.  Most people that actually were prepared to keep at it would not have the necessary skills to complete the project.

You know what?  We really are amazingly lucky that Ady is the one doing this.  He has very clearly demonstrated with Star Wars Revisited just what a master of his craft he is.  He has proven his ability and determination to see such a mammoth project through to completion, and also it must be said, his frankly astonishing patience and tolerance of naysayers and ingrates who offer nothing positive, criticize his efforts or complain about how long things are taking, and who are of course actually entitled to absolutely nothing whatsoever from him!

You say you shrugged and sighed when you read Adywan's latest updates regarding the trees and blaster.  Well, thank you very much!  You must have given him a warm and fuzzy feeling inside when he read that comment!  You want to know what I felt when I read them?  Excited!  Why?  Because despite the legion of challenges that have littered his path,  despite the countless times he could have simply thrown his hands up in the air and said, 'I give up!', despite appallingly ungrateful negative comments posted about his work, Empire Revisited has never been closer to completion!  Think about that for a moment.  Every day that passes brings us closer to its release.  Every update from Ady proves - not that most of us need proof - that progress is being made and completion draws nearer!  That's wonderful news, not something to shrug and sigh at!

What exactly did you hope your post would achieve (apart from demonstrating what sort of person you are)?  Motivate Ady into rushing this to completion because you think it's taking too long, or that he's taking on too much?  What are you saying, that Empire Revisited is somehow compromised because Ady has said he also wants to Revisit the other films and redo ANHR in 720P once Empire is finished?  What nonsense!  I am thrilled at the idea that the other films will receive a similar treatment, and if they take a long time to complete, then so be it.  If Ady and whatever other generous friends of his that are willing to assist with the project are prepared to gift their time and efforts free of charge to the world, then I for one will be exceedingly grateful for everything they do!

So to offer my own opinions on the projects to Ady, and anyone else that cares to hear them, I say thank you!  Thank you Ady for everything you've already done for us fans and for all you will yet do.  Thank you for the countless hours of effort you have expended on this magnificent labour of love!  Thank you for the regular updates you generously give us that whet our appetites and amaze us!  Thank you for your dedication, generosity, kindness, patience, tolerance, skill, wit and love.  Thank you for everything.

Some of us actually appreciate you.

Cool video.  After viewing it, I decided to watch this one about the AT-AT Driver's helmet:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpYkFCVA9Fw

Fascinatingly, the actual colour of the helmet is light grey, NOT white.  All the publicity photos of AT-AT Drivers (which include all that have ever been used on Kenner / Hasbro action figure backing cards) are over-exposed, making the grey appear to be white.  This means every single AT-AT Driver action figure ever made actually has the wrong colour helmet!

I have no idea how much impact this has on ESBR, as the AT-AT Drivers' helmet colour choice is quite naturally Ady's, but if they should happen to appear to be more grey than you remember in the final version of ESBR, don't be surprised :-)

Episode II: Attack of the Ridiculousness ***NEW 14 MONTH ANNIVERSARY DVD NOW AVAILABLE***
Time

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… one epic romance yawned its way into an already weakened saga.

LITTLE HALF-ORPHAN Ani has now grown up and sets about wooing the woman he fell in love with when he was about five or something, channelling the power of the Wookiees into a romance so tedious and forced, even wooden acting and riding HELIUM-FILLED cattle cannot prevent former Queen Padmé Naberrie Amidala-soon-to-be-Skywalker-Jeez-how-many-names-does-this-sodding-woman-want, from falling for his petulant, adolescent and magical fruit-cutting charms.

With evil Dook Dooku unleashing a spot of bother across the galaxy with robots, love struck Ani wastes no time in complaining about SAND, utterly failing to follow simple instructions like staying put, and badmouthing everyone from Obi-Wan Kenobi to Sandpeople to hard-working politicians who’ve never done anything to him.  With his unerring knack for not actually succeeding at very much, Ani fails to save his mother, first loses and then breaks his lightsaber, gets very easily captured, and loses an arm in the course of setting up an epic final confrontation between a bunch of INSECT THINGS, Dook Dooku’s robots, Mace F*%#!$@ Windu and a few clones of some random bounty hunter.

If only the Great Ric Olié had been there to bear witness to and describe these historical events for us all, I’m SURE he would have done so in a way that one that bore witness to these historical events and wanted to describe them for us all would have done.

A Jedi shall not know anger… unless he’s watched Episode 1.  A Jedi shall not know hatred… unless he’s met Jar Jar.  A Jedi shall not know love… of this film.  A Jedi SHALL know ridiculousness… Now there are two of them.

I've just watched AOTR and loved it!  Thanks so much for making it, Frink.  Jar Jar has definitely improved!  I'm now having a hard time deciding whether I prefer TRM or this one, they're both great.

One of many great things about TRM was the snazzy cover art by Hebrides.  I've seen his fab poster for AOTR, but do you know if there will be a similar cover for this release as well so I can jazz up my DVD case?  Thanks.
