Info Wanted: OT Preservation projects - Non-English soundtrack / audio versions?
Time
Many years ago, there was a montage of movie clips on the Academy Awards telecast demonstrating how many popular Hollywood films were dubbed into many different languages. Among them was a clip from SW with Vader speaking in Japanese. So it's curious a Japanese dub track has never appeared on any of the imported LD's.

What did you think the Clone Wars were gonna be?
Time
Since there had been early references to Boba Fett's costume being old Shocktrooper armor (presumably the forerunner of Stormtroopers) I was expecting to see an army of clones in Fett-style suits someday. I thought IG-88 was a leftover of some droid army as well. And don't forget all that old speculation that "Obi Wan" was really a clone designation.

I did notice around the time Captain Eo came out that Lucas' trademark beard was nowhere to be seen. Makes one wonder...

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF GEORGE LUCAS
Time
There was a Mad Star Wars compilation released several years back, not sure if it was 97 or 99. The old strips were done up in color. A well stocked comic shop might still have it. Or Ebay...
Does anyone recall the demented parodies Cracked magazine did back in the day? The artwork was especially good too. One great fold out cover had Yoda sledding through the Hoth battle!

DVD: Return of the Ewok and Other Little Films (Released)

How good is the Donny and Marie segment? (In terms of video quailty of course...) I have a copy of the whole show, but the built in TBC on my Panasonic doesn't like the squiggly video signal very much, so it's been on the back burner for a while.
And when the heck is someone going to "aqquire" the Cantina skit Richard Pryor did on his short lived tv series?
