He was more into tongue lashing his subordinates than cutting them down in the early Marvel book. Post Empire, there was a group of Imperial officers fed up with all the Force chokes, who tried to kill him though.

Vader does make bookends out of an imperial officer in Splinter of the Mind's Eye, so I guess you can blame Alan Dean Foster for inspiring others. ;)

That story was actually a tad exaggerated. And it was to avoid them being used in a low budget SF film, as had happened with Forbidden Planet. An ape head still got stolen and used in the Joan Crawford movie Trog, and some spacesuit backpacks popped up on Doctor Who.
Many key costumes and props are still very much around. Some Kubrick kept hidden away at his estate. They have been touring the world as part of the Kubrick Exhibition. I saw them with my own eyes in L.A. last summer.
In any case, a 2001 sequel was not being contemplated in 1970. Arthur C Clarke didn't even pen a book sequel until the early 80's. And Stanley didn't mind the 2010 movie, either.
Five minutes in google reveals there is an MGM building at that address, that was built in 2009. ;)

These "DVD is dead" articles have been coming out for several years now. Notice that music still comes out on CD, and you can still buy brand new vinyl records. My local Fry's just expanded their vinyl aisle. DVD isn't going to vanish the way VHS did, and certainly not anytime soon.
Can you find a bargain theater near you? It's an option if you don't mind waiting for them to get a movie that's been out for a few months.

Jetrell, if The Mummy is going to become a finished project down the line, the isolated 5.1 score track from the original DVD might make a cool extra? It was a hidden feature that played over one of the submenus, only you couldn't back up or skip a track. Can't recall if I've suggested this before.
Play nice, people, or do I have to lock this down?
If you cut the sequence so it looks like Lumpy is looking at one of the monitor displays from elsewhere in the HS, and can overlay the AOTS footage over that, it would tie them together visually a lot better.
This does have a lot of warped potential.
Sad to say, if sites like TMZ are paying cash for photos, someone will smuggle a spy camera in their thermal exhaust port just to get a photo of the cast in costume. ;)

Well, the Ewok movies differ from the look of the OT.
The Clone Wars got into zombie territory a couple times, so a scary PG-13ish SW film isn't as unlikely as it might seem.
