Could I please get a download link too?
Found a comparison of the iTunes version to the IMAX version and it does seem that a lot of information is cropped from the sides. If the IMAX ratio is on the 3D Blu-ray, then we should have rips by next week.
Apparently Russian iTunes has Infinity War in IMAX ratio:
I was wondering if it would be a good idea to try and rip this for preservation purposes.
Hi everyone. Haven’t been on the site in a while, so I wasn’t aware about the progress of the project. I’m excited to hopefully watch this soon! If you still would like me to make a cover, I can do it in a couple of weeks when I get back from holiday.
P.S. Hal, if you do need me to make any posters or Blu-ray covers for an edit, don’t hesitate to PM me.
This sounds really interesting. PM sent.
Here’s a WIP cover. Any suggestions for what to change/add?
Removing the Fathier chase and trimming it here and there is the most I think could be done without it feeling confusing, but I think I would need to see the concept tested to see if that would even be worth it.
Maybe we could cut to another scene after the stable scene, and then when we cut back to Finn and Rose we see the very end of the chase (when they split off from the other creatures through the field and then are picked up by DJ and BB-8. I think that would work, cutting out the long chase scene but still providing setup and still addressing the animal ‘theme’ properly.
Is it feasable to do so while keeping the child of the Force of the ending ?
See, that’s a tough one. I really like the ending with ‘broom boy’, as it really shows one of the main themes of the film: that the Force can be present in anyone, regardless of their bloodline. It would probably still work without the setup, just not as well. Maybe the scene in the stables could still be included somehow, just removing the beginning of the chase. I don’t think it would work very well though.
To remove most of the Canto Bight plot, just show the scene in full up until DJ leaves the cell, so we get his introduction. Then later, cut to Finn, Rose and DJ on the ship as we find out that DJ stole a ship in order to escape. This cuts out all of the unneeded chase scene and keeps the pacing a bit tighter.
I feel like an ultimate solution to this problem is like many people have said, which is to make it clear that you can enjoy the Despecialized Edition for free. This could be achieved by setting up a simple, professional-looking website that gives an introduction to the project, links to TUIG, the introduction documentary on YouTube and this website, and clearly states that the DeEd is available for free and easily available if you are willing to put the work in. Maybe we could even provide the torrent files on the website? It probably won’t bring people selling the DeEd on eBay to a complete stop, but it will certainly slow it down considerably if people realise how easy it is to get the DeEd for free.
I’m interested. Looking at the Bond ones, I think this could turn out really nicely. Count me in!
I think we should get some Star Wars YouTubers (e.g. HelloGreedo, Star Wars Explained) on board - maybe get them to tweet a link to the letter.

Here’s is my WIP TFA cover, will update as I see fit. Hope you enjoy. All criticism is welcome to help make this better!
Assets like layout and EPS files are from Phildesfr download links.
Looks awesome but why ANH Han?
Was in the Artwork I found. They Probably took existing images and filtered them to look drawn and this was best Han they found.
CarboniteSolo edited the original poster to have old Han
I could help with Blu-ray cover art if you want.
I like the look of this, good luck with the project! One question: will you be releasing this on MySpleen?
3 hours now. Can’t wait!
I think that a theatrical re-release is going to be announced tomorrow, at the least. I’m not going to get my hopes up, but Disney would be stupid not to do this now. It’s the perfect time to do so, at an event for the most hardcore SW fans on the 40th anniversary of the original Star Wars.
Do the covers I made for v1 need any updating for v2?
Trying to download from Spleen but no seeders.
JMoomer’s original covers described the 50GB discs. As the 25GB discs have less audio tracks are you changing the audio tracks description on your recreations to fit the specs of the 25GB discs?
Could anyone redo the back covers in English?
I’ve noticed that most, if not all of the custom Blu-ray covers shared on this site have an 11mm spine. If you do not know, in the UK Blu-ray cases are slightly thicker at 14mm. Here you can share your custom 14mm Blu-ray covers.
I’ll probably create a 1080p Bluray version (no seamless branching this time!). Not sure that (cheap/free) software exists to create 4K Blu-rays at the moment. Scenarist UHD is a little out of my price range. Do you need special discs and burners too?
I believe so, as 4K Blu-ray discs can’t be played on standard players.
This is great news!
The next couple of years are going to be amazing for Star Wars preservations with Despecialized v3 and now this coming along.
One question: Will there be a 1080p BD or even a 4K Blu-ray?
