Star Wars: A New Hope DEVASTATOR EDITION (V.1 RELEASED)
Time

This is probably one of the most minor of minor suggestions, but I saw you were updating the 20th Century Fox logo to a more recent version of the logo. Have you considered updating it to the newer 20th Century Studios logo?

20th Century Studios

I went ahead and rendered it out in 4K.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1w3aniHZRkLVm7Wpguxp8Au0KZzr-Gm_x/view?usp=sharing

The 20th Century portion is from this 8K source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZwd0PZBSVc
I basically cut it when the camera fly around ends, slowed it down so that the timing would match the stationary versions used in most Star Wars films, and added fade to/from black.

Feel free to use it if you (or anyone else) wants.

Smudger9's Bad Batch Movie Series [EP1 & EP2 RELEASED]
Time

I’m about halfway through Episode II, I’m watching it with my father who got to see the original theatrical release of Star Wars in '77. We’re currently only halfway because my Dad likes it so much that he didn’t want to fall asleep in the middle of it and miss anything. (That may not sound like a compliment, but believe me it is)

He has never really liked anything animated, but I convinced him to watch “The Clone Wars” and “Rebels” last year for backstory on “The Mandalorian” and “Ahsoka.” While I did provide him with an Arc Based Episode guide, he ended up trudging through all of it because it was more trouble to have to look at the spreadsheet after each episode and jump around.

He commented that he really struggled to make it through the animated series and didn’t particularly like most of Clone Wars. He’s been a real champ about it though and took it upon himself to watch the first season of the Bad Batch without me prompting him.

I’ve been visiting him over the weekend and he told me that he had watched the first episode of Season 2 last weekend but hadn’t gotten any further yet. I told him about fan edits and logged into my Plex Server and we started up your edit for Episode II and so far he’s loving it and wishes he’d been able to watch all of the animated stuff like this before. (My bad for not introducing fN edits sooner)

I myself am also enjoying the film as its been great as a refresher. I had actually forgotten some events from season 2 while watching Season 3.

I love how you’ve been able to weave the stories of multiple episodes together basically seamlessly creating A and B plots by spreading things around. I actually fully expected to notice when one episode ends and another starts since there was sort of that feeling on the Clone Wars films when I watched them many years ago. That is not the case bere. For the most part your Season 2 edit just flows like it was always meant to be a single movie.

There have been two scenes that I wonder why they’ve been left in, though I could be premature in questioning them since I haven’t finished the full film yet. The scene when Cid tells the squad about Dooku’s palace being cleaned out by the Emprie and when the scene where Omega shows Wanda Sykes the compass. I have a feeling the scene about the compass was left in so that when the squad is waiting for Phee and they receive the message from Rex that there is some sort of establishment that they were planning to go on a treasure hunt with her so that those lines aren’t out of place, and maybe that the scene where Cid tells them about Dooku’s Palace is because it was the introduction of Phee? I was expecting too see at least a portion of those missions due to the scenes being left in.

My dad didn’t seem to notice since he hadn’t watched the season, but as I haven’t finished the film yet, it’s possible it’s just been moved somewhere else in the movie. But anyway, so far those two moments are the only oddities I’ve encountered while watching it so far.

I do want to say that your editing skills have come a long way since your original Clone Wars series of film edits. I have to congratulate you on some excellent editing and just downright great craftsmanship in your edit of The Bad Batch.
It’s really fantastic.

Your edit of The Bad Batch, it just feels like a movie, and a really good movie at that.

I can’t wait to finish watching the edit and I’m sure I’ll be back to give more praise when we’re done watching it.

The Star Wars Fan Edits Request Thread: Request the links to Star Wars fan edits here
Time

I’m gearing up to watch the full saga chronologically and really want to preserve the Vader reveal until ESB if possible. I’ve been searching for Q2’s edit for a couple of weeks now. I used to have it before my NAS was destroyed by a water incident a couple of years ago. Unfortunately this edit has become extremely elusive. It’s not available in any of the usual places.

Does anyone still have Q2’s edit and willing to share via DM?

Alternatively if anyone can suggest another good “Revenge of the Sith” edit that preserves Vader’s reveal until Episode V that would be appreciated.

The Clone Wars: Refocused [COMPLETE] + Subtitles for season one!

Problem with Google Drive was that I had to use multiple accounts, and eventually Google started wanting me to have a unique phone number per account. I guess I could pay for one large Google Drive, but that’s even more cash. Cheapest would be splitting it across three low-cost Google Drives, but then I might hit the same issues.

TCW:R is 166GB (and growing), and my total fanedits are 250GB.

I haven’t ever attempted to share the amount of data associated with a fanedit with multiple people, but I use Microsoft OneDrive. Because I already use Microsoft Office on the daily, the Microsoft 365 Family Plan subscription made the most sense. Not sure what your budget is (if any), but it’s $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year. It includes 1TB of Microsoft OneDrive storage per email address on the family plan. I believe the limit is 6 email addresses per family plan so you could potentially have 6tb of storage. It seems to be more cost effective than what Google charges for the same amount of storage plus you get Microsoft Office included as a bonus if you need it. I haven’t looked into any download bandwidth limits though which might be why other editors don’t use it, but it might be worth looking into if it’s in your budget.

Stargate 1994 Roland Emmerich (Fan Edit) (Released)
Time

It sounds like this idea might be beyond the scope of this project, and you very well may no longer be working on it, but I’ve been a long time fan of the TV Series and actually saw the movie after I had started watching the show. One of the things that bothered me was how when Ra is destroyed that you can basically see the “little green man” alien inside Ra’s body. I realize that it was the TV Show that decided to change it to the parasitic Goa’uld “worms” but I think it works better and is more believable than the “martian” style aliens from the feature film. How would you feel about editing the film to be more cohesive with the television series? Perhaps footage from the show could be re-purposed for that scene?

STAR WARS: EP VI -RETURN OF THE JEDI "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - ** PRODUCTION HAS NOW RESTARTED **

 1. Restore the deleted scene of Darth Vader in his meditation chamber calling out to Luke as he constructs his new green lightsaber. The scene seamlessly connects the opening Death Star sequence with the Tatooine rescue sequence, which seem disconnected in the theatrical version.

 2. Improve the pacing in the Tatooine rescue sequence. Cut the droid torture scene. Cut the song and dance routine. Cut the dancer falling through the trap door. Cut Leia haggling with Jabba over the bounty for Chewbacca. Cut the thermal detonator. Cut Leia bumping into wind chimes. Cut C-3PO warning Luke that he is standing upon a trap door. Cut the herd of Banthas. Cut the barge sailing over the sand. In general, trim the first act as much as possible.

 3. Restore the deleted footage of Yoda confessing, “Obi-Wan would have told you long ago, had I let him.”

I didn’t realize that these scenes existed, I’m going to have to find them. They sound really interesting.

The Unofficial Complete REVISITED SAGA Ideas and Random Discussion Thread
Time

I was honestly a bit annoyed that they decided to introduce the Zeta Class and the Delta Class in Rogue One since they’re never seen again, but my suggestion seemed like the best way to make the shuttle’s disappearance from the Saga less jarring. Rogue One would have worked just as well if they had used the Sentinel in the same role as the Zeta. But anyway, it hadn’t really occurred to me, you’re right, they would basically be fulfilling the exact same role in both films if the Zeta was used in lieu of the Lambda. I dunno if that is necessarily a bad thing per-say…

The Unofficial Complete REVISITED SAGA Ideas and Random Discussion Thread
Time

Hello!
First time poster. I’ve lurked around on and off for a little while but just now felt compelled to post something. I’ve followed Adywan’s Wordpress and have read through a lot of the more recent posts in the ESB:Revisted thread but have not read through all 1300+ pages so please forgive any ignorance on my part.

From reading Adywan’s blog I have an idea of his views on the PT in relation to the OT but I am not sure where he stands on Rogue One or if it fits within his Saga. That being said, I saw on his blog one of the planned changes for ROTJ is swapping out the T-4a Lambda class shuttle Tydyrium with another class of shuttle. I’d assumed up until Rogue One that the Sentinel Class landing craft would probably be the most logical replacement, but now that Rogue One is a thing, I really like the idea of using the Zeta Class Cargo Shuttle from the film. It would help alleviate the annoyance of the the introduction of a new class of vehical never seen again and also meet one of the goals of the edit.
