The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Extended Versions) - 4K Filmized Remasters with neutral color grading (released)
Time

These look great! I have a question (in multiple parts).
I am a little confused as to what source(s) you used for upscale, is it the original Blu-rays, the new remastered Blu-rays (1080p or 2160p), or a hybrid of both? Additionally, if it was the remastered Blu-rays, did you fix the DNR artifacts prevelent with the remastered Blu-rays? E.G. in Return of the king, when gandalf and Pippin have dismounted Shadowfax in the Minis Tirith’s courtyard, Shadowfax’s ears get left behind when he moves his head & The top of Gandalf’s staff goes in and out of extistance (these are visible in the caps-o-holic screenshot comparrison link I included: https://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?a=1&x=502&y=284&d1=5245&d2=15009&s1=49011&s2=156558&l=0&i=2&go=1 You can see it to the right of his head, and the error is present in both the 1080p and 2160p remaster)? Have these issues been replaced with upscaled and re-coloured original Blu-Ray footage? Again, this looks fantastic and is not meant as criticism, and apologies if it is read as such.

Harry Potter 1-2 in 4K Hybrid Open Matte/Scope - Extended Cuts
Time

Thank you for these links, they are great.

I have a question about your “Sorcerer’s Stone” extended version. I was wondering where you got the Blu-rays with the audio tracks that say “Philosopher’s” from that are included in your 4k hybrid? As you can tell from my screen name, I am from Scotland (UK) and all the UK versions of the Blu-Ray & DVD have never included the extended cuts. In addition to owning the UK 4K Blu-Ray Collection, I also own the “Sorcerer’s Stone” due to my wife being American and having access to her blu ray collection. It has always bugged me that they say “Sorcerer’s” in the US release and I always hoped there was an extended “Philosopher’s” version commercially available. dvdcompare.net says Holland has the extended cut, but dvdcompare.net has never been the most accurate in my experience.

My questions are;

  1. Is there an extended version of The Philosopher’s Stone and which version did you get the audio tracks from?
  2. If so, which region(s) release is it from (I saw the French tracks so is it the France release)?
  3. If so, is the opening title card and credits on that release in English (and read “Philosopher’s Stone”)?

Thank you again for all your hard work! If anyone else knows where I can get the “Philosopher’s Stone” Extended version commercially, please chime in.

Wallace & Gromit in "The Wrong Trousers" - Original Audio Preservation [Released]
Time

Could I have a link please? I grew up with the VHS tape version from the 90s which had the original audio. In the 2000s my mother without asking me got rid of ALL of my VHSs. I got the DVD in the 2000s and was disappointed when they changed the audio. To add insult to injury my mother insisted that the change did not matter and that I was over reacting because the DVD image was better. So this project means a great deal to me in terms of restoring a part of my childhood. Thank you for all your work.
