So we would have a ROTJ directed by Spielberg, Gary Oldman as Grievious...
Don't forget that Lucas also considered David Lynch. As for Gary Oldman, blame his overzealous agent. According to Matthew Wood himself, Oldman only submitted a voice audition, along with several other actors. He did it as a personal favor to Rick McCallum, who is a friend of his. He was never selected. According to other sources, his agent announced and then retracted his casting. Needing a cover for his gaffe, he came up with the SAG story.

1. Much as I hate to admit it, the picture and color resolution is better on the Lucasfilm DVDs.
2. I tried watching them on a high definition television. While the picture quality was acceptable (best I could expect), the picture was too small. Why? The 4:3 laserdisc signal had been transferred, without adaptation, and became a 4:3 DVD signal. This was the beginning of my education on high definition, or 16:9, formatting. Does anyone know what software you need to make sure the picture is framed in a 16:9 signal? Has anyone been successful in converting a 4:3 signal to 16:9?
