The Book Of Boba Fett (live action series) - a general discussion thread - * SPOILERS *
Time

I wonder if they will address the standoff over the Darksaber. At some point Boba must return to pick up Fennec. I remember either Favreau or Filoni referring to The Book of Boba Fett as Mandalorian season 2.5 in an interview. The Mandalorian season 3 will likely cover the bulk of the dispute, but it would be strange to not to even mention it when that was the last time we saw the two main characters of this show.

What do you think is the most underrated Star Wars story?

I actually haven’t played any of the Battlefront games, but I’ve read Inferno Squad. It’s very, very good, especially if you’re a fan of Rogue One. Very similar vibe and some connections to the movie.

I’ll have to check it out then.

I’m not a big fan of the Battlefront style of play. It’s very popular, but just not for me. I picked it up because I saw it on sale for $8 on either Black Friday, Star Wars Day, or something like that. I think it regularly goes on sale. I think the story mode alone is worth it for that price. Most people don’t care about that mode, and just get it for the online play.

Have you read Lost Stars? It takes place during the original Trilogy as well. I highly recommend it. One of the best Star Wars books I’ve read.

You know what I’m really enjoying? How new Star Wars content is so fun and exciting that it’s making us speculate and come up with our own stories to fill in the gaps/backstory. It feels like the old days (when Star Wars was only three movies) speculating about what these mysterious “clone wars” must’ve been like, how Obi-wan beat Anakin on a volcano, or how Han escaped the Imperial Academy and rescued Chewie. While I’ve enjoyed a lot of the new Star Wars content, I haven’t felt like this in a long time.

I agree. I remember debating with my friends after TESB about Vader being Luke’s father (spoiler? lol). I was sure Vader was lying. I was wrong, but I didn’t mind it one bit. I loved RotJ. I have no idea about the inner workings of a sarlacc or how Boba lost his armor, but I’m going to enjoy watching it in three weeks! I wish more Star Wars fan discussions could be as amicable.

True, but then he has to escape without the armor, and the armor has to get off of his body while he’s still inside the Sarlaac. I think an extended recovery period with the Sandpeople is more plausible.

It will be interesting to see where they go with it. Definitely looks like he spent some time Tuskens considering his attire. Since Cob Vanth got the armor not long after the second Death Star exploded, I guessed the sarlacc couldn’t digest beskar and spit it up or pooped it out. Maybe Jawas regularly scavenge around the sarlacc.

I guess he could have spent the entire five years with the Tuskens though. Maybe it’s a combination of both, part of the five years spent in the sarlacc, and part with the Tuskens.

I’m just excited to see the show. Bring it on!

If you could change one thing about every movie, what would it be?
Time

Star Wars - Nothing
TESB - Nothing
RotJ - Make the Ewoks look fierce.

TPM - Change Jar Jar’s accent.
AotC - Swap most CGI for practical.
RotS - Padme would survive but Anakin would think she died.

TFA - Nothing
TLJ - Less humor regarding Hux.
TRoS - I hate the title.

R1 - Nothing
Solo - I hate the Kessel Run concept as depicted.

Was Sebastian Shaw the wrong choice for Anakin?
Time

I don’t like the idea of replacing Sebastian Shaw, because I support the unaltered original trilogy. But Anakin appearing as an old man with hair and no scars seems odd because he never was that person. The idea of him returning to what he was before Vader makes slightly more sense to me. In the absence of a perfectly correct answer, I’d say the best thing would be to have both versions. Stop suppressing the theatrical version and just put out something along the lines of the Blade Runner release with five versions. It would be the prize of my entire movie room.

Anything after 1983 doesn’t really matter.

Not saying everyone should like everything, but nothing after 1983? That sounds so bleak. Not even The Mandalorian?

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge (Disney Theme Park)
Time

They finally lost me on this one.

I’m someone who loves the sequel trilogy, what they’re doing on Disney+, and the High Republic. I haven’t been to Galaxy’s Edge, but I’ve seen tons of videos about it and can’t wait to go. I was initially excited for the Galaxy Starcruiser, but the price kinda put it out of my comfort zone. I’d rather take a fraction of that amount of money and just clean out the shops in Galaxy’s Edge than stay in the hotel.

Still, I had no doubt even at that price they’d fill up every reservation. I believe they did. But that video turned me right off. I’m a big Fifth Element fan, and it looks more like that than Star Wars. I don’t know how someone signs off on an immersive Star Wars experience that doesn’t look like Star Wars.

I don’t mind Galaxy’s Edge being a new planet not from the movies. They absolutely nailed the Star Wars aesthetic. Plus they have recognizable ships and characters including a full size Millennium Falcon, there’s a ride where you can fly the Falcon, and Rise of the Resistance takes place partially on a First order Star Destroyer. I don’t get any of that same vibe from their new hotel. Just imagine if it looked like a Blockade Runner.
