Okay I just got done watching this, and I loved it. I don’t think I’ll be able to go back to an unmerged RotS after this, it just meshed so perfectly in my opinion.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feedbacks!

 1. The scene where Obi-Wan has a hologram conversation with Ahsoka, are you sure that scene is supposed to take place after Obi-Wan arrives on Utapau? The way he says “I’m being sent to hunt down General Grevious on Utapau”, makes it sound like he hasn’t gone there yet. Would this scene fit better a bit earlier, right before Obi-wan leaves?

Yes, I’ve heard this arguments a lot and you’re not wrong at all. It’s just my argument here is the way the creator shows hooded Obi Wan I thought is a visual cue that he is already on Utapau regardless of the line “I’m being sent” . This is just my headcanon.

 1. If you decide to keep the final Vader scene as a post credits scene, I think you should have it fade to black at the end. It currently ends abruptly, which is awkward.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Now I just really need a movie edit of Rebels so I can have a more concise conclusion the Vader/Ahsoka and Obi-Wan/Maul story arcs without having to sit through all the filler.

That’s a great idea!

This sounds great.

Ultimately what I really think we need is an edit of everything from the beginning of Clone Wars to the end of Rebels streamlined into a series of movies with all the filler thrown out and all the arcs spliced together properly. So a couple CW movies leading up to a merger of RotS and SoM, followed by a couple movies with the important bits from Rebels leading up to R1 and the OT.

I did completed one supercut on all the Mandalore-related episodes in Rebels. That’s a good start

Star Wars Rebels: Mandalorian Civil War

Another similar project I started is about all the Mandalore-related episodes in Clone Wars. It is still in brainstorming stage but editing is already on its way

Clone Wars Mandalorian Arc

So coupled these two with RotS + SoM, they can be a good Mandalorian trilogy 😉

So a couple CW movies leading up to a merger of RotS and SoM, followed by a couple movies with the important bits from Rebels leading up to R1 and the OT.

That is a good suggestion. I’m thinking movie about the Rebellion would be dope (Rebellion episodes in Rebels + R1 + Episode IV).

This was very enjoyable, and I have few criticisms outside of some minor quibbles. Namely, some of the transitions: I think you had left the establishing shot of the Senate before cutting back to TCW, after which then goes to the interior of the Senate with Palpatine at his post. Also things like Obi saying “who could have done this?” which would then normally cut to Anakin killing the separatists, now cuts to Asokha. Not exactly a mistake, but a removal the visual dovetail that existed in the base film. Sometimes the score contradicts itself during some transitions. However other times the transitions are seamless and I genuinely was caught off guard when the film had switched tracks, so to speak.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and criticisms. I admit there are few hiccups and choppy transitions along the movie which may disturb the the flow thematically. I did struggled a bit on where to fit each scene seamlessly as there was no clear cut chronological order towards the end the movie (not that I know of). As this is my first experience in editing, I’m hoping to improve further in my future version of the edit.

I think it is made better as a text with the inclusion of the TCW characters, the humanization of the clones through Rex and the pacifism displayed by Asokha that the jedi dogma keenly disregard in adjacent scenes. Darth Maul’s presence also helps tie the film back to the first episode thematically.

What would really bring it together is a companion fan edit that makes AOTC & the preceding necessary TCW episodes two acts of one movie.

This will need a whole new supercut.😉

Help: Is there a fan edit of Ahsoka episodes leading up to siege of mandalore? A Rebels edit into one movie? A Clone Wars edit around Death Watch & Mandalorian plot lines?

The Mandalore and Maul storylines don’t really interact with each other until the 14th episode in your list, so I agree the better way to pull this off would be introducing Maul and Savage when the Death Watch rescues them in “Eminence”. That scene opens from the point of view of the Mandalorians, and Maul later summarizes his background to Vizsla anyway, so including the Nightsister and Revenge story arcs is not really necessary. Keep the focus on the Mandalorians.

Any ideas for the movie title and opening crawl?
My ideas for titles:

 • Throne of Mandalore

 • Rise of Death Watch

 • Rise of Mandalore 🤷‍♂

 • War for Mandalore 😅

My suggestion would be to either focus the plot on Maul or Mandalore. I made an edit based around Maul in TCW (pre-Season 7), and it only included the Mandalore episodes when absolutely necessary. There was a 10 minute trim of Voyage of Temptation just to establish Obi-Wan and Satine’s relationship, but the rest of the first half was all Maul and Savage episodes.

So my suggestion is either focus it on Maul and Dathomir, only bringing in Mandalore and Death Watch when they are relevant, or focus it on Mandalore and have Maul only show up around when Death Watch finds him.

That makes sense. Since my focus here is Mandalore, if we cut down Maul’s arc the new list would be

Star Wars The Clone Wars S02E12 - The Mandalore Plot
Star Wars The Clone Wars S02E13 - Voyage of Temptation -> trim down
Star Wars The Clone Wars S02E14 - Duchess of Mandalore
Star Wars The Clone Wars S03E12 - Nightsisters
Star Wars The Clone Wars S03E13 - Monster
Star Wars The Clone Wars S03E14 - Witches of the Mist
Star Wars The Clone Wars S03E05 - Corruption
Star Wars The Clone Wars S03E06 - The Academy
Star Wars The Clone Wars S04E14 - A Friend in Need
Star Wars The Clone Wars S04E19 - Massacre
Star Wars The Clone Wars S04E21 - Brothers
Star Wars The Clone Wars S04E22 - Revenge
Star Wars The Clone Wars S05E01 - Revival
Star Wars The Clone Wars S05E14 - Eminence
Star Wars The Clone Wars S05E15 - Shades of Reason
Star Wars The Clone Wars S05E16 - The Lawless

Now with 9 episodes left, the total runtime become approximately 3 hours (~20 min per episode) which is a reasonably length for a supercut. I’m also thinking how to incorporate smoothly “A Friend in Need”. Lux Bonteri was only first introduced in “Heroes on Both Sides”. Do you think I need to include that episode?

Help: Need ideas for Clone Wars Mandalorian Arc (3rd project)
Time

Hello there,

If you check out my profile I have 2 other Mandalore-related project, both are done and ready to be watched. So now I am ready to move on to the 3rd one, making the Mandalorian supercut for the Clone Wars series.

The problem here is that I need ideas like the names, title crawls and how to compile them to make a coherent film/movie.

Below are the list of the episodes:

 1. Star Wars The Clone Wars S02E12 - The Mandalore Plot
 2. Star Wars The Clone Wars S02E13 - Voyage of Temptation
 3. Star Wars The Clone Wars S02E14 - Duchess of Mandalore
 4. Star Wars The Clone Wars S03E12 - Nightsisters
 5. Star Wars The Clone Wars S03E13 - Monster
 6. Star Wars The Clone Wars S03E14 - Witches of the Mist
 7. Star Wars The Clone Wars S03E05 - Corruption
 8. Star Wars The Clone Wars S03E06 - The Academy
 9. Star Wars The Clone Wars S04E14 - A Friend in Need
 10. Star Wars The Clone Wars S04E19 - Massacre
 11. Star Wars The Clone Wars S04E21 - Brothers
 12. Star Wars The Clone Wars S04E22 - Revenge
 13. Star Wars The Clone Wars S05E01 - Revival
 14. Star Wars The Clone Wars S05E14 - Eminence
 15. Star Wars The Clone Wars S05E15 - Shades of Reason
 16. Star Wars The Clone Wars S05E16 - The Lawless

Siege of Mandalore not included as it is already part of Revenge of the Sith supercut.

Please share your ideas and thoughts so I can make this work and share it with the world once its done.

I rewrote your opening crawl to cut down the word count:

Following the conclusion of the Clone Wars, occupation of the planet MANDALORE transferred to the reorganized GALACTIC EMPIRE. As a result, civil war has broken out on the planet, making travel throughout the Outer Rim difficult.

Looking to secure a new hyperspace route, PHOENIX SQUADRON, a small Rebel cell led by Hera Syndulla, seeks safe passage to their fleet.

With SABINE WREN, a fellow Rebel turned Mandalorian, on their side, the squad sets Concord Dawn as their destination. . . .

I haven’t watched this arc of Rebels yet so let me know if there are any inaccuracies!

This is awesome! Too bad I just completed the supercut and download link is ready. But definitely in the future I will consider do another editing. Thanks for your input mate!

This looks really good. I think adding Vader as a post-credits scene though seems a little odd. Ideally, I think you can fade out on the Binary Sunset shot, not iris out. Then fade back in to the Lambda shuttle landing on whatever planet that Venator is on. It can function as an epilogue.

That’s a good idea too. Maybe I will consider that in my next version of edit. Thank you for your feedback.

Star Wars Rebels: Mandalorian Civil War 3-hour Supercut (2020) (Released)

Star Wars Rebels: Mandalorian Civil War 3-hour Supercut

Who doesn’t want more Mandalorians right?? I got this idea of doing a super-duper cut of the Mandalorian lore from the Star Wars Rebels series when I stumbled upon a supercut released by Disney itself in Youtube. They made a 3-parter of the Mandalorian Civil War during the Empire era.

You can check out here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcNCLMgvBb8

So I’ve decided to do something similar but instead I combined everything and turn them into some sort of movie/film

Basically these are the episodes that are included:

 • The Protectors of Concord Dawn s2e12
 • Imperial Super Commandos s3e7
 • Visions and Voices s3e11
 • Trials of the Darksabers s3e15
 • Legacy of Mandalore s3e16
 • Zero Hour Part 1 and 2 s3e21 and e22
 • Heroes of Mandalore Part 1 and 2 s4e1 and e2

What are the stuff edited in my supercut?

 1. Opening credit
 • Added the classic Star Wars opening credit with custom the opening crawl plus the “Lucasfilm LTD” opening scene seen in the Clone Wars episodes of Siege of Mandalore

Check out the sample video:
https://vimeo.com/431218641

 1. Zero Hour Part 1 and 2
 • The Disney version did not include these episodes. I added them as I think it showed some good amount of the Mandalorian stuff. Who doesn’t want more jetpack action scenes right?
 • These episodes also showed how Sabine Wren joined back with the rest of Ghost Crew after she left in “Legacy of Mandalore”. So it gives good continuity to the story.
 • Major part of the Battle at Attolon is trimmed down as to focused more on the Mandalorians. So you won’t see much of Thrawn, the part where Kallus exposed as Fulcrum, and the ground battle of Attolon.
 1. The Protectors of Concord Dawn
 • This episode actually took place in 3 BBY while the rest of the episodes happened a year after. So this is transitioned to the rest of the movie with the title card “1 year later”.
 • With so much happened during the time gap (like Kanan gone blind, Ezra grown up) that is not shown in the supercut, gotta give the audience a good reason why there such changes.
 1. End credit
 • The classic iris out transition to the end credit at the end of the movie

This supercut is completed and download link is ready! You can PM me or email me to request the link.

rioreverso@gmail.com

Please share your thoughts and feedbacks. If you have ideas on the title crawl and would like to suggest changes, I would really love to hear them. In the future I will probably do another editing.

Revenge of the Sith + The Clone Wars 4 hour Supercut 2020 (V4) (Released)

[Update v4]

I made a supercut of Revenge of the Sith spliced together with the Siege of Mandalore. It’s the 4-hour movie we all have dreamed of.

Kindly email me to request the link if you are interested to see it.

rioreverso@gmail.com

Since the commencement of this project, I have made few adjustment and refinement to the edit. The latest version now is the fourth iteration.

What’s in this Supercut:

 • The movie started with a custom made title crawl. “Episode III” is removed from the title as to make this supercut some sort of standalone spin-off movie. After the title crawl then cut to “Old Friends Not Forgotten”, added with scene where a Venator dropping out of hyperspace, so to make the transition smooth.
 • The Battle of Coruscant and Siege of Mandalore as it happened at the same time, the movie will cut back and forth between the 2 battles.
 • Obi Wan communicates with Ahsoka and Bo Katan after he said goodbye to Anakin and left Coruscant for Utapau to hunt for Grievous (in the previous edit this scene was put when Obi Wan already landed on Utapau, so thanks to some of the viewer’s feedbacks I changed it)
 • Full Jedi Council meeting edited together into one full scene uninterrupted
 • Order 66!!
 • Then the rest is history…
 • Vader picking up Ahsoka’s lightsaber scene is at the post credit, then fade to black

Please leave your thoughts and feedback. This will help me make a better and more flawless supercut in the future.

Please enjoy!
