Hey all!! Excited to be a part of the community and thanks for the opportunity to join!

TL;DR Long time fan (since seeing A New Hope in theaters when I was 3 back in 1977), avid collector and slowly getting together my armor to be able to join the 501st!

As someone who has passionately followed the ebb and flow of Star Wars since I was a kid, I have always been a fan in every since of the word. I still have most of my toys and collectibles from when I was young, and though my passion for Star Wars (and sci-fi) did not translate into my career (though I did make it to a final round of interviews at ILM back in 1998), that desire to stargaze and imagine what life beyond our planet would be like has always been there.

Some basic thoughts about Star Wars as a whole:

• Han shot first.
• I miss some of the canon from the novels and comic books.
• The prequels and most recent trilogy missed the mark in some sense and nailed it in others.
• Clone Wars is some of the best Star Wars writing and character development – ever.
• The Mandalorian is pretty amazing
• Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is still on the bucket list (darn COVID)
• I love that I have been able to share my passion for Star Wars with my own kids as they have started to grow up over the past decade

I look forward to interacting with folks on the forum and getting plugged into the Discord servers as well!
