IT IS COMPLETE! And will be Uploaded to Demonoid soon. It is a DL DVD because the SL DVD version that I made as well looked like SHITE. Here are the specs of the DVD:

After a whole bunch of wrenches thrown into this, I am finally on the right track to getting this released. I ended up having to use my final cut pro to stretch out the timing on the clip that Darthballs so graciously did for me. If you read this darthballs, IM me so I can know what to put in the subtitle credits under your name. I am now rendering the video, all 4 hours of it, and it has 7 hours left to go. After that I pop it into DVD Studio Pro and should have a working DVD by the end of this weekend. I will notify you all when I post this on Demonoid.

Sky, I actually do need your help, or someone with the same capabilities. As I was compiling the dvd, after it finished(my test run), I played it back and the audio was wayyy out of sync. I figured out why and that was when I did my frame edits, the timing got all screwy.(im talking 1 chapter was saying that it was 37 minutes, when it was only 3).

CHAPTER NEEDED TO BE EDITED

There is the chapter in m2v format. I need the Vol. 1, when the KILL BILL shows up on the screen, gone. but, here s the thing. I need it at the axact same time after its been edited. its 00:02:40.10 in length. and it needs to be the same when done.

this is ALL i need done before I can release the DVD.

If you can send me back an uncompressed AVI or 9800 Kbits/sec M2V that would be uber sweet.

Well, if you can make DVD menus and whatnot, then IM me and I will send you the files. I have the M2V, the AC3, and the SP1. I also have a few Images for menus and I have a menu somewhat made. I am going to try to use my friends external HD and if that works then I am pretty sure I can make the dvd myself. If not, then I will need some help. I will keep you all posted.

Alright. Prettymuch done....except 1 thing. Buildin the dvd and again, edditing the ac3. The PC I was going to use did not like my external drive, so i amat a loss when trying to make the dvd. I would love it if someone who was well schooled in dvd lab pro could help with this. I have all the files, just need to arrange them.

I am actually thinking of releasing this as a DL DVD, then(even tho probably meh quality) SL dvd, AND a divx/xvid whatever i choose avi encoding. I am still working on the subs, then I just have to reencode the video. I might at very first host trackerless torrents ON OT for all you guys to get, so that it can be seeded faster on myspleen and piratebay. Again, if any of you want to help PLEASE IM or PM me. I think I have the ac3 editing done, but i am not sure if I did it correctly.

As I progress in this project, I have figured out the early specifications for the DVD and what the film has in it now.

I actually got the video edit done, BUT, i can use your help with my soundtrack if you do AC3 editing. I need one small just add to the 5.1 audio and then the whole track back to AC3. If you want the AC3 tracks, I can either do a trackerless torrent, or send them to you over AIM.

Other than that I am finished with the complete movie edit wise. And its mighty fine. I have also completed (what was volume 1s) subtitles, and will start volume 2s later today or tomorrow.

I run a mac. So all the programs you just suggested, I cant use. If someone wants to do the 5.1 splicing, I will gladly send them the 3 AC3 files ripped from the dvd, and find the correct timestamp to add it in.

I normally would agree with the softsubs, but in Kill Bills case it doesnt seem really neccessary to be able to turn on and off subtitles, that only go over the non english speaking parts. Similar to the original theatrical release. Here is an image of the hardsubbing I am working on now(dont worry, if people here see this and dont like it, I can export these to SSA and send them to someone who can do good DVD softsubs.)

*UPDATE*

I got the editing completely done. My mate over in the UK did the intro for me. I did find the extra scene with bill kicking ass on my DVD.(I completely forgot it was there, im retarded) and it IS in the final edit of the movie.

The only downside to me adding that is, there will be no 5.1 audio. I dont have the ability to splice in a 2.0 to 5.1 AC3 stream. But regular stereo sounds good still on(well at least my) surround sound system.

All that is left is subtitles, dvd menu, and then cover art. I am still debating between hardsubbing and dvd softsubbing.

Deleted Scene? I have the japanese dvds since i live in japan, I havent seen the american ones so I am pretty sure that its included.....

If you can explain the scene to me then I might be able to add that in as well. Also I REALLY need someone to help with with the small edit. Its literally just replacing a few frames with a different one. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE some PM or IM me if you can do this.

Yes it is removed because in the script he does not say anything about the daughter being alive before we actually meet her. When I watched the rough edit I made, it actually is a MUCH larger impact when you see the daughter. My girlfriend(who hadnt seen this movie before I made her sit and watch my edit), was shocked to a much larger extent that I had thought would happen.

The switch goes from the ending scene where sophie and the bride are talking, to Chapter 6, massacre at 2 pines. Believe me, its a much cooler version in my opinion(other than missing the chance to see Uma writing her list on the plane), but all together pretty sweet.

I am working on a Fan Edit of Kill Bill from my Japanese DVDs(so they are the good ones), the whole bloody affair, and have everything done except one thing, which I would greatly appreciate it if someone could help me with.

What I need, and would greatly appreciate:

Someone who can edit out the 5 seconds of “Vol. 1” under the Kill Bill logo in the opening titles. Maybe replace that with The whole Bloody affair, but I think just them gone would be suffice.(I would do this myself but my computer crashed and I havent had the disc space to reinstall Final Cut Studio)

Someone who can do DVD softsubs and/or a DVD Menu, (mine originaly had English only subs being burned into the image)

Someone who can make a DVD Case and Disc cover art. I tried and mine look really shoddy compared to ones other people can do.

If you want to help with with any of the above it would greatly be appreciated, and you will recieve a copy free of charge for helping.

I am getting the audio problems as well. I can play the regular PCM audio, but not the commentary track. I ripped a couple chapters from the DVD and found out that the ac3 audio wasnt encoded correctly, or is corrupt.

Well, thats your opinion. I know alot of people looking for the complete saga. You dont have to download it, its just something I am working on. But if I get more people like you saying its pointless, then i will just stop. And I do have an LD player and a good capture card. I don't have the time to go through with Final Cut Pro and render a crisp version right now, but I do have spare time to throw together this set. I am trying to take the best of the best that is available right now, and putting it into 1 collection. And the disc numbers where just speculations. I am guessing it will be less than 10. I have spent this evening just organizing the files, and somewhat started a good template for a menu, just no menu graphic as of yet.

PS: I cant wait for the XO project as well, but for now, we can have the saga and extras all together in one set.

George Lucas in Love(I have the VHS, but if someone wants to torrent the DVD, thatd be awesome)
The Making Of Star Wars(my own VHS rip)
The Ewok Adventures(ill go and find the DVD of both movies, unless someone has the torrent or would like to torrent it)

If anyone has any other suggestions, or would like to help. tell me. I am trying to make this the most complete collection out there. I will also need help making some menu backgrounds, and whatnot. And the covers, I saw some of Coovs that I really liked(the classic card type).

Yeah, I have spent the morning taking Ep1-3 dvds and chopping them up. My next task is compressing them and whatnot. I will try and make some cool menus for the discs, but I doubt they will be pro like TR47s or Edits.

UPDATE
So I am going to not do this project until I get enough time to make my own rip of the SW LDs. I will then run them through Final Cut Pro(yes, I am a mac user), and do corrections and sharpenings. I have the CBS/FOX WS LDs, but i want to get a copy of the definitive collection to see the difference. Once I do make my Rips, I will then release the complete saga. For now, I am going to work on this when I can, and then do the LD ripping.

So, this is my plan, which I have just started. I am going to compile ALL the Star Wars movies(not ewoks and whatnot, but you know what I mean), and re-author each of them so they go in a nice set. Here is an example of what I mean:

Disc 1: Episode 1
Movie Only
Audio: English Track, Commentary Track

Disc 2: Episode 2
Movie Only
Audio: English Track, Commentary Track

Disc 3: Episode 3
Movie Only
Audio: English Track, Commentary Track

(I am debating whether or not to have an option in the menu to select the Original Trilogy or the Special Edition on the same disc, it depends on if someone wants to help with this or knows how to make this in the DVD structure)

Disc 4: Episode 4
Movie Only
Audio: English Track, Commentary Track

Disc 5: Episode 5
Movie Only
Audio: English Track, Commentary Track

Disc 6: Episode 6
Movie Only
Audio: English Track, Commentary Track

Disc 7: Making Of Documentaries
Compilation from the Definitive Collection, EP1-3, VHS rip of The Making of Star Wars

Disc 8: Production Photos
Again compiled from all the DVDs

Disc 9: Trailers and TV Spots

Disc 10: Anything I missed

I wont be ripping the Original Trilogy rather than just finding the best one and recompiling it. And yes, I will give credit to those who actually DID the ripping on the dvd. I am in the process of seeing which release is the best one. I have the gonzo trilogy, with no bonus disc, and I like the video quality on it. From what I have read, the TR47 release has the best sound. I don’t know how I will go about doing this just yet, but for now am compressing and compiling all the video tracks I need. If all the releasers want to chip in, we can make “the ultimate” saga collection for ourselves. Hit me up if you want to help!

Coov, do you think you can make the classic card covers for Eps 1 2 and 3? I think my new project will be making my own version of the saga, and I really like the covers. Thank you. I just aquired a Pioneer CLD-A100 LD player, and am thinking about making my own DVD copy of the definitive collection(after I get my hands on a copy). I dont think I will go to the lengths that other people are going to restore the image and whatnot. I am not sure if I will do it, because you all seem to be doing insane restorations. But if I do make my own copy, I will be sure to let people know.

Well, being new here and someone telling me to post the link, i thought it could be alright. I was right in thinking it wasnt. Also, the copy has gone through audio restoration, after being directly ripped. Plus the CD was remastered(just like EVERYTHING Lucas has done). Other than that I will remove the link, and hope that people do enjoy this.
