Yeah, I could use the zoom mode, but it cuts off the picture. I wanna fix it to where it's correctly framed.

Well, it's in 4:3, but it has the black bars on the top and bottom. I'm just saying, when I change the mode to 16:9, it stretches that out instead of reframing the picture.

Nope. That's really the way it is. It's for some reason not enhanced for widescreen TVs. The movie is the Super Mario Bros. movie. Lots of people have reported the same thing so it's not my TV. I want to do something to get it framed correctly on a widescreen TV...

I have this DVD that's in Widescreen (1.85:1). However, it's only framed correctly on a 4:3 TV. When I try to put it on my widescreen TV, it stretches it out. Is there any way to burn a new copy of the DVD that would get it to reframe correctly?

I got my DVD in the mail yesterday. This edit does wonders for B&R! The movie is highly watchable now. However there are some stupid things you just can't get around (like neon, and the entire ridiculous plot). But it is very watchable, thanks to you!
