apology accepted.
The point is, should Jay have asked them to remove links? Maybe Jay is not at fault. But the fact remains, is that he could have avoided a lot trouble by just allowing the links and other references to that "other site". He could have been the bigger man and decided not too.

I'm just starting to get sick of this stuff. I would've thought people here would've been mature enough to move on by now. Apparently I was wrong.

I never quoted the constituition in either of my posts.
As I said above he has the right to do what he did, but that it make morally or ethically right or a smart thing to do? Was it in the best interest of the forum for him to do what he did?

If I remember correctly, he asked people to remove the links, but they refused. He therefore deleted the links for them because they didn't do what he asked of them, and so they bitched and moaned about freedom of speech and all this other stuff and eventually left. Jay is not at fault here.

but this whole "freedom of expression" thing that the FE-ers have been touting does not apply here. This forum is a private institution that Jay pays for, and as a result, he can censor whatever the hell he wants.
legally and technically, you are right. But are you right morally and ethically? You have said that you like that this is an open forum. Would it be such an open forum if the idea of freedom of expression is not followed, respected and adhered to by the mods? By the way, you broke the rules in your first response to me. You used the name of that "other site". Your post may be edited or deleted by the mods.
