I know about the satillite Pictures but where did you hear that 187 people had climbed entered and comfirmed the existance of the ark on Araret?

As for the story of Noah I recently watched a docmentary on Noahs ark. As far as I can tell the documentary debunked the biblical story of Noah pretty well if everything in the bible is to be takin literally (And i dont mean that in a bad way. In my opinion all of the stories have very important symbols and themes that should be understood and undertaken. e.g. Noahs Ark: man should not be over confident or it will leed to there distruction. That is a very important lesson which I am sorry to say we are not heeding in the world today. I compare the stories in the bible to thought experiments that scientists use to explain things), it however takes hints that may have been exaggerated in the bible and cross references them to the stories that are told by other cultures in the area, babilonia(sp) and so on. It conclusively proves that there could have been a guy that survived a flood in that area. But it explains how a global flood is physically impossible because there is not enough water in the air and on the earth to completely flood the world to the top of Everest. they also explained that for Noah to build an ark of the size that was specified by god 1. could not be done in a week given modern technology let alone the technology of the time. and 2. that a structure as large as the ark could not be build from wood because it would not be stable, the wood would warp and bend and the ship would sink.

Personally, the counter story that they put fourth while making sence just doesnt seem right. and as for the biblical story of Noah, I just dont know so I can't comment for or against it.

there is a theory that states that currently the universe is expanding and that at some point in the future it will reach a maximum distance and start to contract due to gravity, then after god knows how many year the universe will slowly retract until everthing comes very close togetherand youll get a super dense ball of matter. And once that ball is dense enough it will explode into another Big bang. Personally I am not a fan of that theory.

i give this movie 2 out of 5 stars.

There was a good movie hidden within this movie. I saw a preview screening today and i really disliked parts of this movie. Now I do not mean to be discrimitory in anyway in this post but the fact it that Alexander's bisexuality was way over played, it messed this movie up big time. The first hour and a half of this 3 hour marathon was very good, it flowed and the story made sense, but the second half was flooded with bisexuality scene which 1 slowed the story, and 2 badly messed up the flow. Of the last 90 min, 30 min were probably spent towards displaying this idea. the fact is that this movie from what i saw could have been spectacular if they had edited out some of the bisexuality sences. Some may riddicule me for my thought but all i have to say to them is the see the movie.

good things
the first battle was fantasic as was the second
the story was pretty faithful to history, and alexanders love for his people was protrayed very nicely.
the acting was good
the flow in the first half of the movie was great
the style was very nicely pulled off.

final thoughts this movie could have been great but the last half of the movie wreaked the entire movie.

Hey Motti, have you ever considered getting help about drinking. You seem like you may have a problem. Fishermans friends with vodka that can't be too healthy.

Well at least he's thinking ahead. You drink too much vodka and you wear your esophagus down through the mucous membrane. Then you have the Fisherman's Friend Coughdrop From Hell to help soothe it afterwards.

It's the ultimate win-win situation!

If more Russians had Motti's foresight, you wouldn't keep hearing that stereotypical rough and gruff accent. Heh heh.

that was not a nice thing to say. What do you know about Shim? How do you know what kind of a life he has?

I know that he was a big fan of that stupid series. Seriously, anyone who would spend the time to read 20 of those books can't have that big social life. It would be a different story if they were good books but they're not. The way they protrayed Han man the butchered a legend.
