Unless the ship is a secret weapon, but then those ideas are not something 7,8,or 9 may actually have. My post talks about the ship being capable of destroying a larger ship. I believe such battles would be incredible because they look impossible, unless they're visually explained by showing the experimental weaponry of such ships.
Personally for me, I'd want to see a ship come out of nowhere and turn the tide, like in Star Trek: First Contact, playing really good orchestral music, and having a David Vs. Goliath styled battle against a flagship. What are you thoughts? Here is a link to my idea with a storyboard:

Personally I've was also inspired by a first season episode of the Kevin Sorbo show Andromeda, and the space battle in Star Trek Nemesis.
Do any of you expect a space battle like that in 7,8, or 9?
