I have a fan made DVD of DM2 with Cantonese, Mandarin and English tracks synced. Doesn't have the extended ending though. Can't wait for your version!

Are the 2.0 tracks on the new BD set actually the original mixes?

The German and French versions are the only true director's cuts.
That German version on youtube is about 157 minutes in PAL, which is 164 minutes in NTSC. I haven't checked, but if those scenes are in this version, then they should probably be there.
Also, there really is foley during the credits, but you may be able to get a better sounding version, as there are 2 TV rips of that broadcast , but I myself couldn't find any links.
Perhaps a few German friends can help.
What about the German/French dub tracks on the English DVDs/Blu-rays? Do they have the correct ending music?

Can I ask is the ending of the Mondo version different to the US releases?
I got a rip of the Mondo with the English soundtrack (5.1) already synced. The lip sync was fine throughout the entire movie however at the very end, the music is cut short. Is it because the US version has a longer ending or credit sequence or was it the work of a bad ripper/editor?

I read somewhere that Jill's Theme is supposed to play to the end and Cheyennes Theme plays after screen goes black. But I'm not 100% on that.
As for the rising scene, honestly it never bothered me before but after reading about it, it makes sense to leave it out. The tavern scene would play so much better without it.
Cool. Good to know someone has it. I watched it recently (tribute to Eli Wallach RIP) and found the 5.1 mix a bit too dynamic. Maybe the original mono was like that too, not sure how faithful the new mix is.

It's from a laserdisc and there's some slight noise in the background.
I want to try merging the tracks in Audacity. Apparently the Stereo->Mono function prevents clipping but I'm wondering how else it can affect the audio.
What would be the best way to merge at 50% on Audacity?
I'm working on a sync project where the output wav file should be mono.
The source file is dual mono 2.0.
once I have synced the audio, should I export as it is to 2.0 dual mono or 1.0 mono?
Hope one day we will see this.
However had me wondering, what would would this version have over other releases out there?
