The original 1999 DVD does have the mono mix, but the Laserdisc PCM mono has been captured by someone.

In the meantime, take a look at a rare behind the scenes photo posted on instagram by MacGillivray Freeman Films, who did all the aerial photography for The Shining and make IMAX films today.

Has anyone a capture of the laserdisc video ? (I mean only the image)

Aside from the hospital scene, (which was cut after the opening weekend in the U.S, and not in any UK version to my knowledge) I’m not aware of any other variations. Are you able to take screenshots?

Some foreign prints had Jack’s typed pages in different languages as well as the title cards.

A few screenshots just to give you an idea of dimensions etc.
I don’t think there’s any extra information in the image.

Thanks for the images! I see a bit more headroom than other open matte transfers. I would be interested in seeing the whole thing one of these days.

I have notice that in many 4:3 versions of Kubrick’s last three films they cut a bit the headroom to be more “mainstream” … check the EWS 1999’s TV theatrical release promos on youtube and you’ll see the difference
