EA Access** and Origin™ Access Basic** subscribers can enjoy up to 10 hours of play time at launch, along with 10% off the purchase of the full game. Origin Access Premier** subscribers will get full access to Star Wars: Squadrons on PC along with all the benefits of Basic as long as they subscribe

If this means you have to have a subscription just to play, that’s lame. It definitely means I won’t be preordering. Will have to wait and see the reviews and details of exactly what you can and can’t do with or without a supscription on the PC version

That means subscribers can play it for free INSTEAD of purchasing the game - Like Xbox Games Pass etc.

Star Wars: Tales From The Galaxy’s Edge, A New Action-Adventure VR Experience
Time

"Today, we are really pleased to announce that we are in development on a new virtual reality experience, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, in collaboration with Oculus Studios.

“We are so excited for fans to step into Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge later this year,” said Vicki Dobbs Beck, ILMxLAB Executive-in-Charge. “This action-packed adventure not only speaks to the promise of connected and complementary experiences by extending the lore around Black Spire Outpost, it represents another meaningful step in ILMxLAB’s quest to transition from storytelling – one-way communication – to storyLIVING, where you’re inside a world making consequential choices that drive your experience forward.”

“…by extending the lore around Black Spire Outpost, it represents another meaningful step in ILMxLAB’s quest to transition from storytelling – one-way communication – to storyLIVING…”

Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge will give players the opportunity to live their own adventure and explore part of a galaxy far, far away in virtual reality. The original story will feature both new and iconic characters from the Star Wars universe with multiple styles of gameplay and difficulty settings to accommodate a wide variety of players, from Star Wars fans to VR gamers alike.

“The rich storytelling in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has redefined what a Disney park experience can be, and we are thrilled fans will have an opportunity to discover new stories, meet new characters and explore new regions of the planet Batuu in Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge,” shared Scott Trowbridge, Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Executive. “Now our guests can immerse themselves in these stories both inside and outside our parks.”

Taking place between Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on the planet of Batuu, it is set on the outskirts of Black Spire Outpost of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the epic new land at Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

The trailer for the CW movie I presume?

Yeah, don’t know if there is any interest in it here. Does anyone know if the TCW movie had a physical film release or was it digital only?

There were definitely film prints made, as none of the theaters near me had gone digital yet in 2008.

Was it a wide release in the US? I have no memory of a theatrical release in the UK - I would have been 13 so I may have ignored it as I perceived myself as being too old for cartoons. Would be funny if it was theatrical in US and not UK, the opposite of the Ewok movies.

Is the 1997 Special Edition important?
Time

I was born in April 1995. I do not remember the first time I saw Star Wars. All I do know is that when the 97 SE (Fullscreen) trilogy set released in the UK my Dad bought it immediately. I do not remember seeing Star Wars. By the time I was 3 and able to form long-term memories, I already KNEW Star Wars.

That 97 VHS set sits on my bookcase pride of place. Star Wars and RoTJ are both pristine (Though I loved them both dearly) but the slipcover for Empire is all beat-up because the tape was rarely in the slipcover - it lived in my VCR.

They are not perfect - and I love the original theatrical versions - but the 97SE films are MY Star Wars. I hope beyond hope for a proper 4K97 treatment for all 3 films.

Thank you for attending my TED Talk.

TMBTM last visited his blog website on April 14, so likely give him a week or so for response here.
I think he still likes Star Wars?

If this goes anywhere, I’d be willing to donate towards the scanning/cleaning cost
