Someone said that the German FSK 18 LD of Terminator looks a bit better than the DVD. IIRC, it was said that the colors are a bit lesser washed out. But I might be wrong remembering…
Hey, TheHutt, something I haven’t noticed before, any reason why the movie is window boxed, shouldn’t it take up a full 4x3 monitor on my PC? Also, the end credits for both parts are “jumpy/ interlacey” was the original laser disc like that?

The Squeeze Edition is a Japanese laserdisc release for some movies.
It is literally an anamorphic LaserDisc release with the whole 1.33:1 formatted video being used, but stretched, as with Anarmophic Widescreen DVDs. So they need to be Squeezed to fit on the old format.
Only Japan had such releases.
There where two different squeeze LDs for Terminator 2,the first one had a not processed color timing, the second one has the known color timing.
I think on lddb.com you may find cover artwork images of both releases, because they did not share the same cover design.
I don’t think the seller really is connected to them. There were and are multiple instances that some people sold and sell customs on eBay. 😦
Did you check, if the 25th anniversary DVD with DC and TC has the original mix? It contains a 2.0 Dolby Stereo track.
Also the German Turbine BD set with both cuts contains an English 2.0 Stereo DTS-MA track on the Theatrical Cut.
There is an official pal DVD,and I think a very rare Japanese NTSC DVD containing the unrated version.
But AFAIK nothing in HD…

The theatrical cut should have a run-time of approximately 99 minutes, edited versions about 96 minutes.

It is PAL, so the running time is 4% reduced, due to its 25fps speed-up.

But, being a film print does not need to be the original version. I have a print of the edited Version. Well, it is not 16mm, but 35mm.

I have an unused 35mm cinemascope trailer of the twin towers Spiderman trailer. I used to be a projectionist and when we got the letter asking us to send them all back, I kept one. I wish I had kept the letter to go with it!
I have the German trailer in 35mm “non-cinemascope”… With the German revoking letter…

Its not the intended way to watch T2 sure, and I don’t have a problem with the original movie (one of my favorites ever), but in my opinion it’s nice to see a more varried color pallete throughout

Which audio track did you rip? The digital track is said to be really powerful on that disc.

After that and your behavior, I personally think the German airport BER is more likely to be opened and finished, before you even get anything into any preview status, that shows your work.
Not a half backed, aspect ratio desaster you had once as a preview, with some kind of internet downloaded Anime episode and movie trailer “DVD preview” that not only showed that you do not care about what you present, nor about any tried help.

At the moment all my three UK Roar tapes are in Italy to be digitalized as soon as temperature dropped and possible… My fourth tape unfortunately is teared apart (edit: just checked: my vcr is broken, and kills tapes now…) … So at the moment I cannot even make a small mobile device video. But as soon as some proof has been digitalized and avaible.

There also exist an DVD release in Germany that is based on a bootleg that brought these scenes into the so called “director’s cut”… But it is a horrible work.
I have the tape, and much DVD and BD releases to check.
The UK tape of the Movie “Roar” (1981) by Noel Marshall with Tippi Hedren and Melanie Griffith contains much dialogue scenes in english, that are missed on the US BD Release and only inserted in German language on the English audio track of the German BD release.
The page might be reliable but until I see actual images from the VHS itself and not some production photos being passed off as extra footage. I don’t believe it.
You really might be right. I got a Box Set at eBay, and the tape indeed is not longer, but in Full Screen as claimed. So, that release is to be kept with caution. It MAY be that I got a different Tape inside the Box, because the Box was not new… so somebody might have changed the Tape, to keep the original one.
