Song Parody Thread (Was "I Cut Myself")
Time

Does he rasp? Does he gasp?
Does he lift you off your feet?
My favorite villain Vader
His evil was complete

His suit was black and shiny
No one could ever stain
Lead the imperial starfleet
Loved to cause them pain

Years go by I'm watchin' Jedi on my blu-ray disc machine
And there's my favourite villain in his final scene

My blood runs cold
My memory has just been sold
My Vader is now saying "no"
Vader is now saying "no"

Wow, that's pretty damn cool, Moth3r. I would be willing to watch it like that, if only just to satisfy my crippling OCD about the real differences in the "censored" versions and making a somewhat definitive documentation of the changes.

How sensitive is your method? Will it assuredly detect any noticeable difference? Does it give many false positives? I'm really intrigued by this.

I've now finished an encode of this (it's a 1.2GB AVI file containing Xvid video and no audio). Spotting the redrawn frames is made more difficult because the alignment between the two sources changes for some shots, but if you really want to see it I can make it available.

Examples:

Baby Herman finger

Betty Boop nip slip

Poo stain/animation flaw

Redrawn dress sequence

Loved the Vector graphics star wars too bad every machine of it i ever found was in poor unrestored shape.

What always jarred me out of the experience however was that it was clearly not Alec Guiness as Obi Wan in the game  and also that lasers work on destroying the death star its supposed to be ray shielded and only proton torpedoes should work.

Watch carefully - your X-wing launches torpedoes into the exhaust port at the end of the trench run (assuming you hit it with your lasers).

Just wanted to point some things out so everybody is prepared that this won't be a perfect release either, though we'll do our best of course!

First of all, this one just like T2 has some severely crushed whites. They're lost and no way to bring them back.

Sorry if this is obvious, but have you checked the histogram to see if there are any pixels with luma in the 236-255 range? On occasion, there is detail in this range that gets clipped for display, but can be recovered by reducing the white level.

I'm getting a Wii U before the end of April and I'm pretty excited for that. I'm going to have to get a copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy. Any suggestions for Wii games?

Lego City Undercover!!

Haven't seen much on this one, but I've definitely enjoyed the other Lego games, so I'm probably considering it.

My lad was playing LEGO City Undercover solidly when it was first released. From the bits I've seen, it looks like a lot of fun, and the city is a big place to explore. The story has a lot of humour as well, I've spotted the odd parody of Dirty Harry and Shawshank Redemption in there.

My question is, what is the site's policy on OOP releases? Can these be copied/ distributed, since the no one (except the seller) would make any money on my buying an OOP release?

No, we don't allow discussion about distributing copies of OOP releases on this forum. This is because in these cases it is possible to purchase a legitimate original DVD (through eBay, etc.)
