STAR WARS: EP V &quot;REVISITED EDITION&quot;<strong>ADYWAN</strong> - <strong>12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW</strong>
Time

Would it be possible to see laser blasts bouncing off the AT-AT armor?

Also (this may have been discussed), but considering how the original beam from the dish cannon(s) had a multi-hued beam, I assume they are mini ion guns?  If so, should their beams be more blue along with the large ion cannon?  I could see the possibility of seeing the dish laser blast bounce off the knee, or the ion electricity moving around the knee but with no effect.

Also also, whenever you see the rebel's side, you see not just the tower and dish cannons shooting, but all of the ground troops.  Would that mean that in the profile shots of the AT-ATs (and most other shots), we should see a lot of small arms laser fire around the legs of the AT-ATs (ie the laser fire coming from the line of rebel troops in the trenches)?

Something I noticed while watching the recent vid...

It seems the side guns on the AT-ATs don't shoot evenly.  Specifically check 0:30 and 0:43 - you will notice the side guns moving, but not shooting.  Should anything be coming out of them (I'm not saying they should be constantly shooting, just when it appears they are being used and aiming at something)?

Also, should Wedge's snow speeder cast a shadow at 1:28 when he's circling around the legs in the high overhead shot?

I do not know if any of you guys (DJ and co.) have anything to do with this, but I recently checked it out and it looks pretty damn good (as far as more natural color timing)... here it is:

kk650's Regraded The Terminator 1080p

Size: 7.5 GB
Video: 1920x1080 H264 23.976
Audio Track: English DTS Audio 5.1

Original versus Modified

Original versus Modified

Original versus Modified

The Terminator [1984] 2.1 DTSHD mono mix [audio only]

This is the very much sought after dtshd mono + lfe mix for the remastered version of The Terminator on Blu-ray.  THIS IS THE AUDIO TRACK ONLY. It's synced to the current RM Blu-ray meaning all you have to do is mux it.

One thing I think would be nice is if you retained the original animated menu from the original TERMINATOR blu, (though some of the loud metal clunking noises moving back and forth between the options can be annoying) but included all of the extras from the dvd (and maybe any more that can be found on the internet, such as early production sketches from Cameron).  The new menu is pretty generic.

Gentlemen (& Ladies?),

I'm having a great time combing through this thread and the one for ESB:R, though it's taking quite some time.

Apologies if this has already been raised before but...

Something I would love to see fixed in the HD ANH:R are the awful bobble-headed dewback riders.  Watch footage of real riding and riders.  Yes, the body can and does do a lot of adjusting with the movement of the beast one is riding but the rider generally keeps their head on a steadier horizontal swivel.  It looks patently false/unrealistic in the SE.  Almost as if they went overboard to show how much movement they could animate.  It's either that or they're unenthused and lethargically/half-wittedly carrying out orders, which doesn't read menace enough.  Even if they were scanning the ground for tracks rather than the horizon the head movement would be more controlled and not so lazily up and down.

Awaiting your feedback/comments.

(PS: Sure you guys get this all the time but I loooove Star Wars: Revisited! I won't voice my few quibbles with what is a superlative fan edit especially as it appears they've all been mentioned ad nauseam prior to this post.)

To add to that, would there be a way to make the Dewbacks go back to their original appearance (with the elephantine feet, as opposed to the goofy frog feet)?  Hell, just adding some stubby alligator type toes would be better than what we got in the SE (apparently they used a fake Rhino for the base body, and used fur to hide the seam between the head, tail and body).

Hmm... so it appears the Empire is equal opportunity.  Who would have thought?

This is how the majority of the past 10 to 20 pages have left me (and possibly Ady and a few others):

MST3K "Mitchell": Servo Loses It

Guys?  We don't have to keep posting comments on this thread just to keep it active.  We can patiently wait until Ady posts a "heads up", and then go back to waiting for him to post "It's finished!"

Just.  be.  Patient.  It will get here.

Hello Mr. Frame,

I guess you already know me a bit from the emails and Davespeanuts (on Ebay).  My Earth name is Christopher Seay, and I am located in Louisville, KY.  I believe I've been on OT.com for @ 4 to 5 years, ever since learning of Adyway's A NEW HOPE:: REVISITED, which led me here.

You can check out my Ebay profile under "norman.bates", as I've been a member there since April 1999 (with a 100% feedback score).  I go by Monroville on quite a few other forums, such as blu-ray.com, tehparadox.com, x264-bb.com, asiatorrents and myspleen.  I go by Monstro over on Cinemageddon.

Once again I would like to thank you for taking the time to register and visit the thread.  Any help would be appreciated, as the frame captures on Davespeanuts' ad for the 35mm looked fantastic!

Also per my email, feel free to peruse the site, especially Dark Jedi and Team Blu's output.

Also, if you need any invites to Cinemageddon or MySpleen (where a lot of Dark Jedi's custom blus are located for download from a private and protected server), feel free to PM me, as I have some to spare.

Good news, everyone!

Davespeanuts has responded, and it appears that the owner of the 35mm film reel set may be keen on helping you guys out.  Here is his reply:

I tried and cold not get the link to work (the one to originaltrilogy.com I sent through Ebay PM), I do also have a near mint 16mm LPP print.......If you could get me their email that would be cool Beans.....Or have them message me directly.at: trancelucid@verizon.net

So is he looking to charge us or is he willing to share his 16mm LPP for free?

I do not know yet.  I just sent him an email through my live.com account... so I guess we'll go from there (though I think it would be fair to at least cover whatever shipping and insurance costs he might have to spend).

If you want to email him too, feel free to, as I mentioned he might be receiving some greetings from fellow OT.com members welcoming him to the community.

PS: I think he is mentioning the 16mm print as a back-up, as he doesn't mention that he WON'T allow the 35mm film reels to be used.

Regardless, I'm crossing my fingers, my toes and my nose hairs that the 35mm is accessible.

One last thing: since it appears that we have a member who has access to the tech to transfer film to an HD format, there is a 70mm set of film reels of BRAINSTORM for sale (currently @ $127).  If I purchased it, would someone here be able to transfer it to 1080p?  The current blu-ray Warner put out is rather.. lackluster to say the least.

Also there's the possibility, since they're linked, that LFL becomes aware of Revisited. That could potentially be awesome, but who knows.

I'm sure it's way more than a possibility that they know about it.

Oh I have little doubt they will at least now before Adywan's work on the saga is complete. However, they will also realize how huge the fanbase is, and as a result, be pressured naturally to not take any action to obstruct it or ban it. After all, this isn't just some youtube video that contains copyrighted music, this is a huge independent effort that's brought a lot of fans together, so even attempting to shut it down would be a huge PR disaster, especially considering they'd mostly be pissing off fans of their franchise.

I think if Lucas and Co. were going to shut Ady down, they would have done it a looong time ago.  I think they are just watching from the shadows, interested in what fans will do for free, while doing the Mr. Burn's thing with the fingers:

^Interesting thought. The other moral problem is why did the most powerful living Jedi sit in a swamp for 20 years while the galaxy burned. There wasn't anything he could do beyond Dagobah? I suppose it could have been addressed with some quick expo about Yoda making such a strong impression in the Force that he could instantly be found beyond the Force-obscuring power of the bog world, thus blowing any operation and bringing the combined might of the Emp and Vader down on him. Luke refusing to return would help with logistics, certainly. Ben would need to stay close to protect Luke. ;/

Keep in mind that originally Yoda was a lot more like Pai Mei, in that he was the crazy old wizard/martial art master living in the wilderness one had to search for and win over in order to garner their guidance.

Yoda wasn't supposed to be a politician or Jedi "leader".... he was supposed to be a hermit, or akin to the Shaolin Monks or Christian missionaries.

Any news yet ?

Nope.  I might send him another PM, but I have a feeling I should have bid on this.

10/26: I've sent DavesPeanuts another PM via Ebay (with a message regarding a 70mm reel set of BRAINSTORM, which I am tempted to get, as the current blu-ray release is of "okay" quality).  I asked him to forward the address for this thread to the winner, so hopefully we might see them here.

PS: whoever is doing the actual restoration, could you PM me your email address?  In case DavesPeanuts contacts me, I would like to have it on hand to possibly send to the winner of that 35mm print... or you could PM him here.

The Mouse And His Child remaster
Time

Keep in mind that both of the UNICO movies, SEA PRINCE AND THE FIRE CHILD and ANGEL'S EGG have all been recently released on blu-ray in Japan.  Not sure if THE MOUSE AND HIS CHILD have been released (or will be), but Sanrio owns it, so there is a good chance it could be released.

You can find a 1080p rip of THE FANTASTIC ADVENTURES OF UNICO, UNICO AND THE ISLAND OF MAGIC and ANGEL's EGG here.

In regards to the bugs.. yeah, that could be cool.  I agree with them being little more than spots... there is nothing saying you can't make 'em more like fireflies (the occasional slow pulse of light).
