Well, I’ve had several people ask me to record the “HD Remaster” of City Hunter off Animax, and I’ve got what, 48 out of 51 eps of it?
I’ve thought of doing GT with the Animax audio that my team capped, but the Z fiasco’s got me a bit demotivated, and I no longer have the Green Bricks to add the English audio properly the way I did back in 2009…
I was involved with Kienai’s sub of Detective Conan Episode “ONE”, the TV movie, and have been providing some moral support (their translator went through some serious hell recently, I don’t want to talk about it here except to say exes can be terrible sometimes). I’ll probably be working with Kienai more on Conan projects since The Moonlighters doesn’t really have the staff right now.
I’m the timer for Some-Stuffs’ Pokémon Sun & Moon subs (it’s a few of us who worked on Dragon Ball Super for Dragon Team before Crunchyroll took it over).
That’s not to mention my back burner projects…
I used the best resources that were available to me and handled them the best I could. That is all I’ll say.
May I inquire what actually happened with the audio? Like why are people butthurt about it being released?
Because they were selling it.
Which one? I’ve got several DB-related projects, though to be fair, the whole audio incident has kinda soured me.
I’ve known people who actually DID that, except instead of mp3 to flac it was 56 kbps mp3 to 320 kbps mp3.
What I’d kill for is not only a voices only track, but the stereo M&E track that was used for foreign dubs in the 70s and 80s. You can see where I’m going already. XD
But that’s Latino Spanish, isn’t it? If he’s looking for Spanish, I’d presume he wants Castilian.
According to my software, it’s 2.0.
Man, this blew up hard in my face and even harder in my friend’s face who got me the audio…and even harder in the face of two people who got doxxed because someone was butthurt about the audio getting out. Ugh.
Had to pull the torrent for the time being, hoping it’ll at least mitigate future damage. The genie’s still out of the bottle.
I know, right? I don’t think there’s any better than the R1s for that right now, is there? (Since that series was kind-of a dud, although wasn’t it Michie Tomizawa’s first major role?)
I’ll upload the assets.
Mospeada has a BD release in Japan, if that helps any.
This is a civil matter, it’s not in the police’s purvey…
OK, say my image sequence is ESB-R1-S00500-0001.dpx - ESB-R1-S00500-0128.dpx - what exactly will the line in the script read?
I don’t know if you can use that for DPX O_o, I’ve never seen a way to use DPX in AVS…
I guess it would involve something about “ESB-R1-S00500-%04d”?

What about doing RotJ with the Times New Roman logo?
I mean this one.
ANH and ESB, for authenticity, would have the slanted 0. RotJ would correctly have the stumpy, straight 0. Also didn’t Williams rerecord the fanfare for RotJ?
Same, except I’ve never seen ESB in cinema.
Sure are a lot of Russian prints that show up on eBay lately, aren’t there? O_o
Some private trackers, if they ban a user who got in through an invite, they will ALSO ban the user who invited that person (meaning the inviter is responsible for what the invitee does). Not sure if Blutopia is one of those, but I used to be a member of such a tracker.
Blutopia, wasn’t it?
Basically, the only ones who can legally distribute anything Star Wars are Fox (ANH) and Disney (everything else), without something in writing from the appropriate party saying otherwise.
For most of us morality isn’t tied directly to legality so we don’t care about non-profit redistribution of what the rightsholders don’t want to be bothered redistributing - and they might even look the other way - but they don’t really have to. We’re fortunate that they have done so so far.
Yep, already been posted.
I used to offer copies of fansub tapes I had. I charged, literally, what it cost me to buy the blanks and send them out (and I was open about those costs), and that was it. If there was any markup it was a rounding error, to the value of a few cents at most.
A friend of mine always quotes the edited versions (especially “when this baby hits 88 mph you’re gonna see some serious stuff”).
