The unaltered cuts are more aesthetically consistent and flow better, and overall they hold up incredibly well without revisions.

I no longer have the VHS sets or older DVDs, as I recently downsized my collection.
I haven’t picked up Solo or TROS yet, but I mean to grab the BDs before the year’s end.
I honestly just subscribe to the current Disney/Story Group canon. I’ve at least enjoyed, if not loved the new movies and shows and I really dig what I’ve read of the comics. I still need to explore the novels.
I actually don’t miss a whole lot of the Legends continuity. Most of what I read from it didn’t really feel like Star Wars to me.
I’ve never been into fan edits personally, especially since I adore the Prequels as they are.
SW - Either the Expanded Mos Eisley entrance or Greedo shooting.
ESB - Restore Vader’s "Bring my shuttle. It’s a better take.
ROTJ - Vader’s “No. NOOOO!”
SW - Redone Alderaan explosion
ESB - Ian McDiarmid as The Emperor
ROTJ - Victory Celebration
It’s been A New Hope since before I was born, so I’m used to calling it that. I do like it as a title, as it’s very simple yet accurate to the movie. But I generally use “Star Wars '77” or “the original” to distinguish the unaltered cut.
I almost always watch the Despecialized Editions. I love that Blu-ray detail and contrast. They’re incredible achievements and look fantastic overall.
Hello everyone! I’ve actually lurked these forums for years now but finally decided to bite the bullet and sign up and engage.
I’ve loved Star Wars longer than I can remember. I’m somewhat of a universalist as a fan, in that I love all three Trilogies. I also enjoy Star Trek, Tolkien, anime, metal music, cinema as a whole.
I hope to get along here and look forward to getting to know everyone.
