I would love to see these as well.
I would love to see these as well.
I’d like to take a look at this.
Only this time we find out who he/she is!

While you’re at it why not align the planet coming into frame with the musical sting as it was in 1977?
Merry Christmas! As you guys know, I’ve been working on the original Tatooine matte painting for a while. Here you can watch the results of my work! Also - I decided to keep the original timing, so Tantive IV will no longer fly with a camera movement 😃
(edit) It may not look that good because of the YouTube compression.
Been gone a while and just now seeing this project.
Well done here! Ready to see the rest of the shot! =)
Wow… Quiet in here since I came last.
The prequels are still horrible and need to be corrected.
As you were.

there’s some good stuff in there, though!
Agreed. The end credits brought a tear to my eye.
There hasn’t been a perfect Star Wars film since ESB for me personally. But if you dislike something, you find holes.
It’s not hard to pick a film apart.
Part of the reason I enjoyed Rise was that my 9-year-old daughter and I had a blast. I’m wondering if it takes a kid’s mind to appreciate Star Wars in 2020?
Anyway, to each their own. I enjoyed the snot out of it,
No offense. So glad I watched this movie and enjoyed it before I came on here.
I’m sorry to say you just plain don’t know what you’re talking about. It’s not a matter of noticing it or not. Show me a shot and I can tell you if it’s on sticks, a dolly, a crane, or handheld. Shaky cam is handheld photography, plain and simple. That’s just what it is. And I’ve seen TFA enough to know that there’s literally only two shots in the movie with handheld photography, when they’re in the basement of Maz’s castle during the FO attack. There’s also a scene on the Falcon with simulated handheld, but you can tell it’s still on sticks. There’s nothing else in the film that’s “shaky” (besides arguably a couple effects shots). That’s it.
This… All of this.
Or go even crazier and replace Ewan with Alec Guiness.
We need someone to get good at this technique. So many possibilities.
Look forward to the progress.
It’s a great start.
I too would like to know why Kenobi’s lightsaber was changed.
Keep up the solid work.
I have a Superman film in my head but I’m afraid no one would watch it! lol
- Make Qui-Gon Obi-Wan’s elder brother.
- In the Naboo saber fight, Maul cuts off Qui-Gon’s arm. Right before Maul can finish Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan uses a mind trick to sneak up on Maul and kill him.
- Qui-Gon takes the role of Count Dooku. He escapes the Republic, leads the Separatists, yada yada. The key difference is that he is not in league with Sidious.
- Anakin slays Qui-Gon instead of Dooku at the start of ROTS.
Basically make it so that the character of Dooku does not exist and his role gets transferred to Qui-Gon, the Secessionist Light Side Templar.
I think a complete reboot is needed. Not restructuring. Qui-Gon has no business being a major character at all. Obi-Wan should be a full-fledged Jedi Knight and aged enough that he’s had a few apprentices. Not to mention that in midst of 20 years, Obi Wan goes from looking like he’s in his late 30’s and then 80 in A New Hope. His age needs adjusting.
Naboo had no purpose. Alderaan needs to be a major planet in the films. We all know why.
I like the idea of uniforms. I too feel like it was strange the Tattooine clothing line becomes the Jedi robes.
I have a lot of thoughts about re-imagined prequels… Just need time to lay them all out.
These are interesting ideas.
I’ve also contemplated the issue of Luke using his Skywalker name. Sine we really can’t get away from that I think the thing to do is:
That last bit would have to be achieved by having a lot have to happen in Episode 2. Maybe “The act” happens in episode 2, but the fake death of Amidala happens there as well which would plunge him deeper into the dark side.
The third film takes place 9 months later. The birth of the twins occurs, and a side-bar adventure is Padme going through a series of events to hide the kids, and act that at one point leads to a sacrificial death. None of which Anakin is privy to as he’s busy with his Jedi Holocaust.
So… You’re really praying Poe isn’t in the next film?
I actually enjoyed the film, but I am fascinated with your cuts. How do I view it?
Everyone is a critic
Nah! I’m thrilled to have this. Thanks for the work!
I’ve actually been toying around with this idea. I’ve elected to make my Rogue One edit into episode III, but I’ve been thinking of just having Star Wars movies that remove the “episode” part. Fixes a lot of issues.
I’ve considered both of these ideas. I’m actually holding out for these star wars stories to give me at least two more pre-classic trilogy films that could work as EP I and II. If not, I may drop episodes numbers as well.
Has anyone notice that the episode number is poking out ever so slightly the whole time before its supposed to be revealed? I’m not a Blender guru so I have no idea how to correct this. I could mask it later AE.
If we’re talking professional software; the one to use is FilmConvert. Its a far more accurate film-look converter. Magic Bullet FIlm’s results to me were way to drastic even when using the correct settings.
I’m pretty sure Emanswfan joined a cult or something. They haven’t updated in a while.
sadly i am new to this site and dont know how to post screenshots sorry for being a noob but i have got great quality and different settings produce different quality that is why i left it open so you can chose your own settings
Uploading it to something like imgur and posting the link is good enough.
And what’s wrong with a cult, sir?
Thank God for Plex. I no longer need to burn movies to disks. I gave up on that years ago. I cannot wait to stream this edit!
