How to capture HDCP-encrypted HDMI sources (Vudu, Netflix, Directv, Virgin Media, etc.)
Time

Hi, I totally agree with digitalfreaknyc, Hauppauge is the only place to go. I have been trying for several years now to do what Colossus and the HDMI splitter have achieved within a quarter of an hour of installation.
The Asian capture card was no good at all and with rubbish graphics, neither was Fury HD any good. So, very many thanks for the info on this website it has, in the end, been very helpful. Mike T.

How to capture HDCP-encrypted HDMI sources (Vudu, Netflix, Directv, Virgin Media, etc.)

Hi, I have just found your Website in my search to find an answer to overcoming HDCP encryption. I use the Black Magic Intensity Pro capture card through the View HD splitter to record from the Virgin cable box, all cables are HDMI and I use Windows 10… This set-up has worked perfectly until fairly recently, but now, using Black Magic Media Express, I have the picture, the audio level meters are active, yet I get no sound. I have exactly the same result when looking at Black Magic on the Control Panel/Sound page, audio levels active but no sound. I am now tempted to try either the Chinese sound card option or the Hauppage Collossus mentioned on your post, having tried other possibilities (without success) I am now a little wary of spending yet more time and money, but will happily do so if I can get a positive result.
