16mm, 35mm prints, VHS transfers, or early 80s home recordings of Monkees Episodes

A huge passion project of mine is finding lost rerun audio and visuals for Monkees episodes and seeing how newer songs worked in older episodes.

For people who are unaware, when the Monkees reran the show in the Summer of 1967 in between Season’s 1 and 2 of the show, they replaced some of the songs with songs from the A Little Bit Me, A Little Bit You/The Girl I Knew Somewhere single, their third album Headquarters, and the Pleasant Valley Sunday/Words single in order to advertise those singles to a wider audience.

This practice was attempted again during the Summer of 1968 when they reran their Second Season, but it was quickly put away as only one episode featured a song from their 5th album, that being “Tapioca Tundra” on the episode Hillbilly Honeymoon.

During the fall of 1969 until the fall of 1973, the Monkees reran episodes on CBS’s and eventually ABC’s Saturday Afternoon slot featuring songs from their 8th and 9th album Monkees Present and Changes as well as airing at that point unreleased songs, replacing over the songs once again.

Once the show was picked up in syndication for local markets and international markets up until 1985, many different variations of these prints were aired. Most of the time in the US, they got 1967 rerun prints while the UK got a mix of 1967 and CBS rerun prints.

In 1986, when the show debut on MTV, the prints were upgraded, but many of the songs were reverted back to their original broadcast form.

To most, this seems really silly since we can just insert the songs from the albums into the music videos to make our own custom edits, but the reason why this isn’t a 100% effective method is that many times when these songs would be featured in reruns, they used unique mono mixes or rough mixes that have yet to be released. There’s also constant incorrect information being spread about what songs were featured which might lead to finding songs that have yet to be released on one of these reruns, most notably the two songs that were recorded during their 9th album Changes.

My question is if anyone out there has any recordings or film prints of these reruns that they’d be willing to sell to me. I have listed below what we currently have and don’t have to narrow down what is needed.
