Hi!
Thank you so much! I was seeking for that version for years.
I saw it at the Max Linder Panorama (Paris , France) years ago in 70mm several times. Was magnificent, and I love this version which is way more psychedelic thant the symphonic version (which is already beautiful, with the James Horner music).
This version was only available in 70mm, as the 35mm version only featured the symphonic version.
It is a shame that THx did not include the 70 mm version on the previous THx demo dvds.
And the only place in which it can be found is… yours!
I managed to make a 5.1 mix, from my memories and enhance the ending and, edit with the beginning of the 35mm version (before the vortex, orchestra tunning) which was identical. Then I used the Cinemascope image (blown up in HD 720p), in sync.
