Yeah, not worth it. It would be an insane amount of work. Also, Disney would probably get it shut down before it gets started, or file a lawsuit against the creators.

Thank you. I’m excited. This is going to be fun. I think the first line is too wordy. I like RL’s idea that he wants the First Order bounty, and they are waiting in jail til they get picked up. Doesn’t the guard mention something like “You’re under arrest for illegal parking”? So, his line will need to be changed too.

Please don’t do this. Keep the slomo shot. I like it. I agree with RogueLeader, I don’t think that added sound effect is necessary.

I like the new padme clip. After watching this version several times and thinking about it more I think after “You turned her against me!”, the scene should play the same as the theatrical, except for “Only a sith…”. It cuts too many good lines that I enjoy, like: “you have done that yourself!" and “for democracy!" The added lines, while good, stick out, you can tell they don’t match up. I think the scene will still work without them. Also, sorry if you explained it somewhere and I didn’t see it, but can you explain why you cut the killing younglings reference?

I agree with this. Anakin’s new lines really stuck out for me. Obiwan’s, not as much. You might be able to make those work, but if not, I won’t really miss them. Other than that, I love what you’ve done with the scene!

It would be a good visual of Ray being assisted by the last person to actually bear the name skywalker, and would be a satisfying payback is a bitch moment for Luke. He helps barbecue the guy who tried to do the same to him.

Seeing force ghosts of the past Jedi was something I was greatly hoping for going into this movie,
and their absence is probably my biggest issue with it. (Palpatine doesn’t bother me) So, I would love to see the past Jedi added in to the final battle. I’d also love to see Anakin and Ben ghosts added to the last scene.

I’m fine with Han tossing the guy. I would prefer if Han shooting without looking stayed in, with the “huh” left out. I always liked it, and don’t find it unbelievable, especially with Han being the skilled shooter we know he is. There’s a lot of other stuff more unbelievable in these movies. It’s the kind of thing you would see in a cowboy movie (Han is pretty much a space cowboy) and they don’t have the force. I think it should stay, especially with the callback to it that we get with Ben in TROS.

I hope I’m not too late to give feedback on these options.

1. This is good.

2. The hood looks weird the way it appears, then disappears quickly. I still think it would be good to have it be Dark Rey’s face that is revealed when the ice melts away. If you do this, you don’t have to make the hood disappear. This way, you have more of a hint earlier in the trilogy (Which I think is important), without saying yet that she’s a Palpatine. The original scene is frustrating to me, even with sith whispers, because we don’t learn anything about her. (I know it’s because the scene is saying she’s a nobody, but we know now that’s not true.) This would fix that, while still saving the Palpatine reveal for the next film.

3. This sounds good. Keep it.

4C. This is my favorite. I like how it’s Palpatine using the Force instead of the radio. I like that it keeps the Kylo/Rey exchange, I also love how you save the laugh for when Rey closes the door. I just wish you would reinsert the “It is your destiny” line. It’s a good line, and I believe it makes it the right amount of dialogue. Not too much, not too little.

The introduction should be rearranged to flow better, and the comedy (and cringe scenes) should be cut. Acts 2, 3, and 4 out of four should be greatly truncated, time skips are acceptable. Episode 8: The Last Jedi: Begin with Krait, and end 1 hour through the Rise of Skywalker.

Episode 9: The First Skywalker

Finish out RoS, end with a scene showing Rey going back and time to be Shmi Skywalker. Cut from “there was no father” to the part where Kylo Ren is force healing Rey, with his hand on her stomach. It won’t be a good ending, but it will be an ending, and it will tie together the whole saga (not so) nicely (which is better than not at all). Maybe somehow have a real Sky-walking scene or something, this could have been Kathleen Kennedy’s idea for the ending. I dunno, who cares. Who cares is better than “I don’t care.”

Even with lots of cuts, this would make TFA way too long, and TROS not long enough. This time travel plot would be so cheesy.

I love RogueLeader’s idea’s for Finn’s story, but for the TLJ scene, only the elevater scene should be used, not the walking scene leading up to it.

This is a cool idea, but even with saying the different battles are day and night, I think you would need added VFX to help sell the idea that Starkiller and Exegol are the same. You would have to change the environment for the Luke vs. Kylo fight, and change Kylo’s appearance. I don’t like that Luke wound’t really be doing anything to help in the present day, so all that time they spend looking for him is wasted even more than it is in the actual movies. Once Rey finds luke, if he doesn’t fight Kylo on Crait, it doesn’t lead anywhwhere. If it’s just one movie I wouldn’t want it longer than 3.5 hours, and that’s pushing it. To do that, you would have to cut out a lot of important stuff.

I agree that Jakku should have been Tatooine, and I would love this change, if it could be done. Realisticy though, the only thing you could do would be add “Tatooine” text at the bottom of the screen. It’s impossible, because, like NeverarGreat said, you would have to cut every time someone mentions Jakku: In TFA: Rey, Kylo, Hux, Poe, Finn, Han, In TLJ: Rey and Luke. It wouldn’t work if no one actually says “Tatooine”.

I think trying a version without the radio would be cool to see how it looks, but I wouldn’t want to lose the rest of the dialogue or the laugh. I just thought of an idea for Rey’s vision scene. When the bluray of TROS is out, when Rey’s face is revealed in the ice, have it show Dark Rey’s face instead. This would be a cool tease without giving too much away, because I think it needs something more than just the addition to the shadow and the sith whispers. How the vision plays out says “You’re just Rey.”, but this would tease that there’s something more to the story. You can still keep all of Dark Rey in TROS, but adding this would improve the scene greatly.

Hey Hal! I love your TFA and TLJ edits, and I’m looking forward to seeing what you do with TROS. I think “Rey Palpatine” should stay. It explains her powers with little training, and it’s a good twist.

It would be a good way to start the movie, then show Kylo on Mustafar, as that is supposed to be after the broadcast. Or put this at the end of TLJ. Either way, I believe a cleaner version of this would add a lot.

I really like your changes! No Leia spacewalk, No Phasma fight, your new Finn sequence in the battle. I also think there should be a more obvious claok/hood on the figure in Rey’s vision.

This was only added in poppa V2 edit to give more context to broom boy. If the broom boy is removed at the end at the movie then the scene is pointless. The scene does give a bit more background on Rose backstory so maybe broom boy could be removed it possible.

Why not move it to the end of The Rise of Skywalker, where… (massive spoilers ahead!!!)

… we see the montage of First Order Star Destroyers being destroyed across the galaxy? Simple, just insert a destroyed Star Destroyer into the shot of the boy looking at the night sky.

I agree that Broom Boy should be removed from the end, and I love this idea to put it in TROS.
