Oracle
There’s a lot of speculation that this scene with Kylo Ren and the Oracle in Mustafar might have actually been filmed and cut during the editing. I think we could re-introduce it to slow down the manic pacing of the First Act and fix some inconsistencies like Kylo communicating with the Vader helmet after discovering Palpatine was behind it, which made no sense.

So I would reorganize the beginning of the film like this:

  1. Opening crawl - don’t reveal the return of Palpatine yet, let it happen in the actual scene. Only mention that Kylo is seeking the source of the power of his former master Snoke.

  2. Kylo Ren on Mustafar/The Oracle.

  3. Rey training/Kylo having visions with the Vader helmet.

  4. Kylo Ren goes to Exegol and meets The Emperor.

  5. Finn and Poe get information about the spy and return to the Resistance base.

This is a hard one, because there are many issues with this movie, but removing them could possibly make the already fast pace even more frenzy. If possible, these are the edits I would suggest:

  • Keep Rey as a nobody instead of being Palpatine’s granddaughter, which makes no sense. Make it just so her parents sold her to protect her, but she doesn’t have the Emperor’s blood.
  • Cut Death Star technology from Palpatine’s fleet and the destruction of Kijimi (I still can’t believe they made a movie with a thousand Death Stars)
  • Delay the reveal Chewbacca was alive
  • Cut the creepy conversation between Lando and Jannah in the end
  • Cut Maz giving Chewie a medal
