Any word from Infodroid about when his edit will be finished? I'd like to see any edit at this point.

Also, I've read his ideas for shifting sequences around, telling the story in a non-linear fashion. Is anyone else making a cut that keeps the same order of events as the original? I think a Raiders flashback draws too heavily on another Indy film, when all films are their own adventures. And I think the trunk introduction is too good to waste.

I think there's too much deliberating going on with these edits. Granted, there is a lot wrong with the movie, but coloring Indy's hair? Changing the ending? At this rate, will there ever be a finished cut?

I think the "I dunno, it's just a story" line should stay. Maybe it trivializes the relic or the pursuit of it, but I think it's classic Indy skepticism.

Is anyone going to change up the color for the film, make it more like the original films?

And it doesn't have to be changed, but is there any way to put in an authentic Wilhelm scream? The kid in the library was the worst choice for it, and it came out sounding weak. Can we either give him a better Wilhelm scream, or give it to the Russians in the shot where they get bumped off the jeep in the jungle?

Hey 1899, glad to hear it's all coming along. I've got a couple questions though.

Have you taken a lot of the alien out? I don't know how comfortable you are with the alien angle, but if a lot of it is omitted, I would argue what makes this film unique is gone.

Also, in the "Somewhere your grandpa is laughing" scene, does it make sense now that those lines are out?

Hey 1899, on Raiders' soundtrack, play the first eight seconds or so of "Miracle of the Ark".

Can't wait to watch this thing. As for whoever said the music cue I suggested is too associated with the ark, it's not. It's just a tension building bridge into the next scene on the island. To me, if it was anything from the well of the souls, or the map room, it'd be too nostalgic and agreed, too linked with the ark to use.

I thought Indy pushing Dovchenko off the rocket sled was like "The Last Crusade", and didn't have a problem with it, but it's your edit, go wild.

One thing that I can't stand is Mac yelling "You don't know him!" like 6 or 7 times. Holy hell. Is there any way to take that looped line out, leave him saying it twice maybe? We get it, Indiana Jones is  not going to swerve the truck out of the way. If I was that Boris guy driving, I would've capped Mac then and there.

That's the problem with the movie, it just didn't know when to get rid of Mac. It would be like if Satipo stuck around the whole movie in Raiders. Boy, that would've been awkward when Indy and Marion are on the Bantu wind together.

Another gripe: in Jones's introductory shot, I thought the music was a little subdued. In general, the scores for the three movies immerse me all the way through, even on the 1,000th viewing.

Remember his introduction in The Last Crusade? Williams' score was way more trumphant. Does anyone else think that would fit better?

If you're thinking of changing the title at all, I think "Indiana Jones and the City of Gods" is nice. I've gotten used to the title now, but it does foreshadow how much of a stitch-job the movie is, i.e. Lucas liked "Kingdom", Spielberg and Koepp wanted "Crystal Skulls".

Whatever you make the title, please at least keep "Indiana Jones..." at the beginning. Raiders is a standalone film, it would just look weird if after two sequels, the format went back.

Is there any way to change the font on the title at the beginning? When it says "Indiana Jones and the...", it's in the Last Crusade format, and it looks so bland! Is there any way to have the title posted up like in Temple of Doom? Big red, yellow, and orange letters?

Also, if you're thinking of putting music from the originals, the music that plays after Belloq says, "Do as you will" in Raiders would play really well as Indy asks, "What is this thing?" in KOTCS. It'd be a nice transition to him and Mutt walking up the steps.
