STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

Oh well, I’m out of here as well then (not that anybody cares about a lurker who rarely posted).

The thread became more and more tedious to read, with children like Frink and other imbeciles rapping up their post count. Add to that the still horrible forum design and there is really no reason to keep coming here.

Bye, you won’t miss me and I won’t miss you.

Ady: have you ever considered filming yourself as you work (ie a camera looking over your shoulder) and either selling or posting the clips as a teaching tool on how to edit?

Perhaps do live Twitch streaming, this would also be a way to raise funds through subscriptions/ donations.

Oh, this is a GREAT idea. I would absolutely subscribe to this to support adywan at least a little bit.

That tingles all kind of nerd nerves... :p

Am I the only one who would have been happy with Ady's excellent color correction and fixing the top 10 most obvious errors?

Clearly the finished edition will be a work of art and it is already very impressive, but looking at the previous "flap" sample I wonder if this isn't too much effort and too high a cost for such "little" effect.

As a programmer I can easily relate how, when you have a project, you find more and more things to fix and more and more detail to add. But there comes the point when you just have to say "that's it" and find a reasonable balance.

Especially when you are working alone on that kind of project. Adywan is getting outpaced by technology. This thing started with DVD format and by now we have seen the introduction of 720, 1080, 3D and now 4k. Don't get me wrong, I'm still find with a good DVD quality movie on our 46" and will be grateful for whatever Adywan is going to release whenever he sees fit. All I'm saying there is merit in having a schedule that doesn't span a decade.

Amazing work. Looks beautiful from start to finish to me :)

And yeah, that shot of the AT-ST firing his guns was great!

Just a very little thing I never saw though. It's also on the original footage. It's at 1:35: Don't we see something that looks like a laser hit appearing on the back of the AT-AT, but without any actual laser beam hitting that point?

(again it's really nitpicking from me and just something that suddenly strikes me. Sorry if that point was already discussed or if it's just my eyes playing tricks on me, lol)

The clip is awesome, but I did notice this as well (I guess things become just much more obvious when they are in HD). Are there any plans to fix this?

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

@RoccondilRinon & doubleofive: Thank you for your quick replies!

I guess I will have to live with the SL NTSC version then. Since all I currently own are the DVDs with the original version as bonus and another unauthorized P2P copy.

I really like some of adywans additions and changes, but adding custom music is a definite nono for me (and from what I read many others agree, hence the purist version), so I'm really excited about seeing (and comparing) both versions. :)

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION

Hi,

I just discovered this AWESOME thread through some comments on Engadget, where they talked about the new HiRes coming out (http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/14/george-lucas-officially-announces-star-wars-on-blu-ray-in-2011/2).

Anyways, I think I would prefer the "purist" version, since I would really love to have one that comes as close as possible to the original ones. Some people here recommended heading over to tehparadox for this, which I did, but I only could find a NTSC SL version of it.

Is there any place where I can maybe get a (PAL) DL copy?

Thank you in advance!
