all these year Lucas has said there was no 789.  It just came out of his own month that he did.  What a lie!

He did say there were going to be nine movies in the original making of ESB book.

Now now. People round here say a lot of nasty things about George Lucas, but I will not hear it said that he is inconsistent.

With regards to how this affects the possibility of OUT on Blu-Ray, I'm hopeful we will at least get a seamless branched version offering a choice between the SE and something they call the original.

Based on how they treated the Lion King, their "original" would be full of re-rotoscoped lightsabres and the like, but no Jabba or shot from Greedo.

I think it will be close enough for a lot of people. I can imagine them releasing a version that, if George had released it as his SE in 1997, wouldn't have made enough people angry enough for sites like this to exist.

Star Wars Laser Disc Audio Archive (Released)
Time

Hopefully, I'm just being thick or there's a problem with my uTorrent, but it looks like most of the tracks listed aren't actually in the torrent.

I haven't started downloading, because there's no-one seeding at the moment. However, when open the .torrent with uTorrent, it lets me choose which files/folders I actually want to download. Below is the list from the description page, with all the ones NOT listed by uTorrent crossed out.

When I looked into it further to list which tracks were missing, I realised the tracks DO all seem to be there, but most of the tracks for all films are in the RotJ subfolder.

Just putting the info out there for anyone else who is confused by this. It's probably not worth re-making the torrent for this, but maybe you could re-arrange the folders if/when you release the version 2 mentioned above?

Perhaps in the mean time you could add the info to the description page on MySpleen for others as easily-confused as I am?

Most importantly, Schorman, thanks for this amazing archive :)

ETA: I've downloaded the 0.7% which was available from another peer, and the files on my drive do appear to be foldered correctly. I presume therefore that the problem is only with the .torrent file itself, or my uTorrent.

Star Wars DVD Covers
Time

I've just been reading back through this thread and seen some covers with awesome preview pictures, but long-dead links. Does anyone have copies of PepsiOtaku's box sets, ChansawAsh's VHS-inspired covers, or Plamdi's 1993 & 1995 Laserdisc-inspired ones?

I've tried Google and the Wayback Machine to no avail. Help me, OT forummers, you're my only hope!

EDIT: Imrahil, are these by DarthVong the Kenner-inspired covers you're looking for?
