God bless us, every one!
God bless us, every one!
...meh... I think its going to fare like Quantum of Solace did. In my opinion.
that's really depressing...
2012!? Are you suuuure?
Hey Cool! Those sound like good ideas... and about the trailers... yeah, I actually thought about doing that!
Thanks, GafferTape for your compliment on the poster! :D
so, I take it there is no specific day to count as LIFE DAY?
Hey guys! Merry Christmas!
Indeed, this Christmas, a friend of mine said he was willing to watch all six Star Wars flicks at once... while this sounds like a daunting endeavour, I tend to be very delighted because I love hosting movie-watching outings at my house on Christmas break!
So, the deal is this: I've always wanted to see all six films in "Lucas-Approves-order", namely, the clunky, confusing, and Original-Trilogy-spoiling way... because I've never gotten that chance. And, no, I don't think anyone I'll invite has not seen all six Star Wars films anyway. So, that allows this option.
If you've got any really cool suggestions about screening the movies (and what editions to choose from... for example, I have Adywan's Star Wars Revisited, which I have not completely seen, but would love to) or maybe some trailers that would be fun to put in before the film, etc.
That would be really awesome!
Also... I'm planning on doing an "ad-campaign"... here's a quick Teaser Poster (Style A) I whipped up!
Indeed, it's a semi-spoof on how blazingly mass-marketed Star Wars is, and how there is a little bit of a loss on quality with their newest DVD re-releases in terms of cover design! Check it out!
Thanks again!
when IS life day?
hmm, Jay makes a point.

But I've seen many liberals change their minds on somethings once exposed to it for real and not just on the 5 o'clock news. There was woman I'd once met briefly, she was rabidly liberal and always insinuated that we (Police Officers) were violating peoples rights and being aggressive, even against the death penalty. A few years later her daughter was raped. I helped the investigation and got to know her well after that, a lot of her ideas changed once she realized the impact that criminals have on victims, she even apologized to me for having so much doubt. After some time she admitted that perhaps the death penalty is a just thing to do. Terrible what it took to wise her up. Just one example, of many.
Ferris: that little statement made me feel very very happy today. Thanks :)

Sorry, but if "speading the wealth" is the best you've got, then you've got nothing.
No it is not. "trickle-down economics" runs on the premise that when rich people pay less taxes then they in turn invest the gains into other businesses or companies who thus hire people to work and giving many jobs and you products to buy. The wealth of the rich guy was invested and subsequently paid to a guy who put in a days work he took the money home to feed his family. Redistributing wealth? Yeah, but honorably and in everyone favor. That is my scenerio.
Obama's redistribution of wealth plan is that the rich guy has his money taken forcefully by taxes and then given to God knows who. Most likely someone who shirks work and feigns earning anything.
Your theory is bullshit. Bush proved the trickle down theory doesn't work. When was the last time you saw the wealthy just giving away money because they had low taxes. They want more for them and less for you, they want to make you work for as little as possible. You poeple make corporation sound like charities just dying to make jobs and give away money!
you over-exaggerated ferris209's answer. He never mentioned anyone "just giving away money because they had low taxes".

I KNOW, man! That's what makes me hate hypes. And, oh, how I hate it when the crowd starts something and everyone, and I mean every unimaginative person does it. That's why when "The Dark Knight" came out, I was almost not going to see it because every single idiot (people who couldn't care less about the Batman series) was screaming and yelling "OMG Batman's the best movie evarr! Teh Joker was sooo cooool!"
It makes me feel incredibly bad... I really hate hypes... so much...
Nanner, you rock.
(sorry for going a tad off-topic)
and yes, I thought of becoming a character too... but I thought of it wayy too late... see, I was going to memorize this speech, and it goes like this: "The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."
and how cool it would be...
I agree with ferris209.
C3PX said:Something that has always bothered me about Blu-ray from day one, the cases. I find them very unattractive, being bright blue just doesn't do it for me. Anybody else feel this way?
My theory is that the cases are just used in that pretty cheap-looking blue plastic format until Blu-Ray becomes the norm (to differentiate it between DVD). Then they'll ditch that disgusting blue box and start getting a lot more creative with the designs. We already witnessed this with the "Blu-Ray" inlay paper:
as you can see; each new release begins to shed off the first designs. I have no doubt this will happen to the cases eventually. The Blue circle around the Blu-Ray logo will also dissappear. Just like DVDs before it.
I remember seeing a 1998 Godzilla DVD... (really early) it was COVERED with DVD logos and it was in a weird transparent cd-jewel-case-material case too! So it's just a matter of time.
What about Akira Kurosawa's Ikiru? I didn't watch it, but just seeing one scene made me cry. And I hardly cry.
Well I played it through. It's kinda' fun and all, but the story wasn't really that good. I just don't like the idea of filling in every non-film spot with some sort of story (i.e. how the rebellion was formed! New characters that die, yadda yadda)... it's a little cheesy if you ask me.
holy crap, that's awesome! I want that pillow!
I've always imagined a modern updating of the OT in product lines without any prequel or Special Edition interferances... this is COOL!
Oooh! Speaking of Ralph Bakshi's LORD OF THE RINGS!!!
You have GOT to see this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xh5PnqvLZxI
you'll laugh your pants off!
