I can’t wait to see this project completed. I have held off on buying ESB digitally because I know this version will replace it.

Is this the same as Harmy’s 35mm ROTJ Grindhouse? Or was this a completely different scan?

I was able to get the ROTJ SE 97 with the Usenet with a free trial, but man getting the torrents would be so much easier.
I’ll look into converting the MKV for ESB Grindhouse to MOV. I tried to do some of their tutorials, and it was working pretty well. I’ll definitely look at more of them and see what I can do. I’d love to see this project come to life.
I would recommend simply encoding a sample so you can learn pfclean if that is your goal. Since there aren’t details about how this distributed work type project is going to function (or that Grindhouse would be the source), and a lossless encode of the whole film is going to be like a terabyte.
Ok I see. I figured it’s a transfer that can be worked with. Eventually, someone will have to figure all this out. You’re right about it being large; 6000 frames of Grindhouse is ~13GB.

I just took a look at the PLE PFClean. It’s pretty complicated for someone who doesn’t know how all this works. Maybe an idea would be to show people how to use it, so we can have standardized frame edits.
