Comparing the T2 35mm scan against previous dvd and blu-ray releases i’ve noticed that it shows more image both horizontally and vertically. The home releases are cropped, even the new tealed 2017 version. Also the faces despite the heavy teal tint of the 2017 is still more reddish in some scenes than the 35mm scan. Makes me wonder if it isn’t still the same old transfer only with a teal tint to cover the red push, and lots of dnr and sharpening to make it look like a new transfer…
Maybe this is not the right thread, but has anyone else noticed how beautiful the trailer on the ”Image Hemdale DVD” looks compared to the actual movie? Looks so natural and true to a 35mm print. Whish they released the whole movie like that!
