Do you still need help with this? I’ve been doing a similar thing with Knight Rider, as there were a few edits to those Blurays. Our workflows will no doubt differ but I can help you out with getting the DVD soundtracks to the correct speed.

Cheers

YES! PLEASE!

I pretty much shelved this idea until I could get some help. I attempted using Vegas but have no clue what I am doing with it.

I’m interested in your project as well, I was not aware of the Knight Rider edits and look forward to it.

Yes, the DVD set is PAL, and I am aware of the speed differences.

I don’t really have any editing skills whatsoever. What I am looking for is a software solution(s) / “dummy” guide(s) to assist me in correcting the pitch of the audio to get it to sync with the Bluray. I have been searching for solutions, most of what I found was old and outdated or did not give me the steps I needed to get started.

I would also like to import the SDH Subtitles as well. My brother is deaf and while he can read lips the subtitles were not included in the Bluray which makes parts where voice overs and off screen dialog difficult for him to follow.

The current tools I have are PgcDemux, MKVToolNix GUI and MeGUI which I know the basic functions of.

So I have run into my first snag with this project. My plan was to use MKVToolNix GUI to add the audio and the UK subs however the first episode on the US Bluray clocks in at 1:32:41 with the UK DVD coming in at 1:28:56.

Listening to the Audio tracks side by side the UK version sounds a bit sped up, which is obvious by its run time.

I have attempted to use the “delay” and “stretch by” features with no luck. Does anybody have any ideas as to how to pitch correct the audio and line up the subtitles?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can offer some advice.

Quantum Leap: Complete Series with ALL of the Original Music Restored Project. (a WIP)

Hi Folks,

I know that there has been chatter about the Mill Creek Blu ray set having a majority of the music restored. While I absolutely loved the show I’m not an expert in all things Quantum Leap so I don’t know exactly what has been replaced and what was original broadcast of the show. Recently I found out that the UK DVD release has all of the music restored.

So my plan is to mux the audio from the UK set in with the higher quality video of the Blu-ray set to create a compilation of the Complete Series with ALL of the original music restored. I feel this is a worthwhile project but if someone has already done this please let me know where I can find it!

I’m pretty well versed in the muxing process using PgcDemux, HdBrStreamExtractor and MKVToolNix GUI. My issue will be with “editing” the Audio to line it up with the Blu-ray video.

Any assistance from the community would be greatly appreciated and if there is someway that I could assist you please let me know.

Thanks Everyone!
