KENOBI THE PATTERSON CUT- DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN WATCH THIS!?

The cut makes weird dialogue edits, adds a silly Nari decapitation, and copy/pastes Duel of the Fates and Battle of the Heroes into places they don’t fit. The series does work and flow better as a 2 and a half hour movie, but I’d recommend other edits.

It’s not necessarily about working better as a movie, in my opinion. It definitely works as a series. The movie idea is a fantastic “what if?” that also works. There’s been a lot of great creativity around that idea.

It does work as a series. I love the show. The last two episodes, particularly the last, are top tier Star Wars. Episode 6 stands along side the best the franchise has to offer. What I’m saying is there is fat that can be trimmed, and that story is best consumed all together.
This is my opinion, of course.

Some series work better week to week, some work better binging. The Mandalorian works wonderfully week to week, for example.

STAR WARS: EP VI -RETURN OF THE JEDI "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - ** PRODUCTION HAS NOW RESTARTED **

There will be no post credits scene in ROTJ:R. I’m in the process of rewriting the change list for the first post which will go more in-depth as to the changes planned. But i can say that Yub Nub and Lapti Nek will be back. I’ve always hated the two new tracks that replaced those.

Oh wow, I don’t know that I’ve heard anyone say that before.
Yub Nub is great but the victory celebration track is one of the best tracks in the entire saga!

This is just confusing. Their arms are the same in RO as in ANH??? What adywan did was chnage who’s arm got chopped off, to match what happens in the scene. We see Dr Evazan pull a gun to shoot Ben, then Ben cuts at Evazan and Ponda’s arm ends up on the floor with the blaster. So Ady switch the arms to make it so that Evazan’s arm is on the floor, becuase it makes more sence with what we saw happen. It was a mistake born form Geoge Lucas’s inexperiance with fight scene at the time, quite why he never thought to adress it as one of the many chnages he made in his SE I can’t fathom.

Evazan is also the one screaming in pain after Obi-Wan pulls out his lightsaber.

Because he was also sliced, he just wasn’t dismembered. Canonically, Obi-Wan got both of them with his swipes.
I just personally find it odd to go out the way to contradict both the original film and canon, but I’m not the one providing the edit, so of course Adywan can and should do whatever he wants to do.

I cannot believe we’re having the Flipper Debate again over a decade later. 😄 Ady removed the flipper arm after coming to the same conclusion the original crew must have, that it just begs the question of how he held a gun in the first place. But instead of following the original crew’s “just throw any arm on the floor”, Adywan made it the good Doctor’s. There’s no reason for him to change that.

There is a reason. It’s canonical and it’s the correct character from the original film.

You may disagree, but don’t say there is “no reason”.

Agreed. It’s not like we ever see those two elsewhere in the saga. Even if we did, it would likely just be in comics.

I’d say keep what makes the most sense in the context of the film itself, which is Evazan’s arm with a blaster.

Yeah there’s a canonical story where Dr. Evazan is trying to fix Ponda’s arm with some janky prosthetics.

Besides that… it’s true to the original film.

Cutting The Jedi also cuts his new weapon that he uses to fight off Gideon.

I’d simplify and condense that episode, but not cut it. I’d keep some of the conflict there, including his being hired to kill her.

It also gets rid of the whole reason they go to Tython, meet Boba and the reason Luke shows up at all.
Ahsoka cannot be cut.

Maybe, but he’s previously said he wants to release ANHRHD & ROTJR simultaneously. Being able to release them as a 3-pack would make sense.

Yes but that was back when he thought they were both going to be finished around the same time a few years ago, right?

I just don’t think he’s going to finish ANH then just sit on it for a year or more and not release it.

I understand that Revisited is its own canon, however, has the thought of reversing the change of Chewie getting a medal to not conflict with “The Rise of Skywalker” been considered?

Canonically he did receive a medal. That was revealed in the mainline Star Wars comic in 2015.

You could too.

Honestly, what’s stopping all of you “Man, I wish someone would do X” people from actually doing some research and giving it a try yourself? That’s what almost everyone here who makes edits and preservations did - there’s only a small subset who were already experienced when they started doing this stuff.

I know how to do it. My computer isn’t powerful enough.
