KT - You got it in one

Kirby - Does anyone read my posts ? - I've made a BIG deal out of my crappy connection in all my posts regarding the torrents

Yep, and surprisingly my system didn't seed it properly. I got an error saying there were files missing which is odd since I was able to burn the VIDEO_TS file just fine. I'm working on seeding it again though to see if I get the same error.

I'm new to this torrent stuff, but just wondering ... ? Someone help us myspleeners out ... or tell me what to do

Thanks for torrenting this, Rikter ... I for one will seed it after I'm done getting it, which hopefully will happen.

As of right now Rikter is the only one seeding but I think as more and more new people try to get the seed, the slower the connection gets so those of us at 99.7% are having a hard time getting that last .3%. That is, if I am understanding the nature of Bit Torrent correctly. The best thing you could probably do is wait until the glut of higher percentage users top off at 100% and start seeding. It'll make things easier for you as well as everyone else.

Then again, I could be wrong. In any case, there shall be more seeds appearing within the hour I would say.

Riktar, I'd just like to bring something up. I was watching my download of ANH the otherday(awesome remix CD BTW). I haven't been able to burn it to disc yet, so I was watching it on my PC using Media Player Classic. At the end of the first VOB, right where Ben scares off the Sand People using a Kryte Dragon growl, the audio bursts into static. It only goes away if I skip a little forward. I tried it with some other players lying on my machine. Fortunately, BS Player, VCL Player, and WinDVD all played it without a hitch. I've never encountered something like that, so I thought I should mention it. Hope you recover soon.

Odd indeed. I don't encounter this problem with a DVD-R in my player or playing the VIDEO_TS straight on the Mac DVD Player.

I think you are falling under the current NAT ban at myspleen. Check out the main page for details. I'm in the same situation myself after just installing a wireless router. And my share ratio is well over 4!

I think you are correct. I'm on a wireless network so I'm going to see if my roommate, the one who owns the equipment, can set me up with port forwarding. Will that solve the problem then?

BTW: Nice icon.

Are you sure you're doing this right?

I have no idea what's gone wrong with this. I've used BitTorrent before and never encountered this problem so it's new to me as well. I haven't changed my settings either. I'm baffled, just baffled...

And thanks, Rikter. For the TR47 torrents *and* my DVDs.

Maybe it's boredom, or passion I don't know. But I keep messing around with the boxes/packaging/etc with the DVDs.

I'm running BitTorrent 3.4.2 for OS X. I've tried restarting my system again as well as trying to start the download all over again. I have 1.64 GB of the file and really would rather not start all over again. Thanks for any help.

I hope this helps!!

+ thanks SO SO much for the kind words!

I have plenty of kind words, like fantastic, wonderful, and amazing. However, I tried reloading and it scans the files and then just sits there and stares at me, mocks me, and every few seconds laughs at me. Any idea what I might be doing wrong here? Thanks again.

About time Huh

Hey, it's just great that you're doing this for us! I'm just wondering though, I lost my connection and then had to restart my system. Now I can't download the TR47 New Hope. Did something happen? Can you tell I'm a total newbie? Should I ask more questions? Wait, I just did. Damn...

Thanks
