Song Of The South - many projects, much info & discussion thread (Released)
Time

I won’t send a PM as requested, but if anyone knows where the 35mm scan of Song of the South could be acquired I’d appreciate it. I’ve been gifted the Taschen Disney Archives for Christmas and would love to see an HD quality version of this film after reading Leonard Maltin’s write up about it in there. I tried the Spleen and Usenet but only the DVD version is on the latter. Thanks!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Team Blu Bonus Blu-ray (Released)
Time

Just wanted to quickly say that I grabbed this release last night and it’s amazing. I’m continually surprised by how privaledged I am to have discovered this forum, and I’m very thankful to those who work so hard to bring us releases like this one. It’s been a difficult and busy time for me recently, but I hope to be able to contribute more in the future.

Harmy's RETURN OF THE JEDI Despecialized Edition HD - V3.1
Time

That’s fantastic that v2.5 has the scanned footage replacing the out of focus bit from the BD. It’s my least favourite part of the official release. I might hate all the new effects but at least they were intentional - the out of focus bit is just a straight up mistake that should never have passed QC.

Actually it’s still not as bad as Jedi Rocks. Nothing is worse than that!

Harmy's RETURN OF THE JEDI Despecialized Edition HD - V3.1
Time

A massive thanks in advance to Harmy for all the work he’s put in to this. Looking forward to checking out the Grindhouse and V2.5. Even if it’s only in the Grindhouse I’m looking forward to seeing the section that’s out of focus on the Blu-ray done properly. A shame that the ‘professionals’ at Lucasfilm couldn’t even scan the film properly!

team negative1 - star wars 1977 - 35mm theatrical version (Released)
Time

I stumbled onto this forum shortly before Christmas when I heard about Harmy’s work. I’ve been lurking since but had to join to thank Team Negative1, Harmy and everyone else who’s been working to preserve the Star Wars I remember seeing as a young boy at the cinema in 1981.

There’s a level of work that I can’t even comprehend with these projects, an incredible amount of knowledge and more than that a huge amount of love. Watching the despecialized edition the other day and now the silver screen edition has really taken me back. Just amazing.

A huge thanks from me to everyone here.
