Warbler … thank you for your thoughtful post to us veteran’s on this Memorial Day. I served because I chose to and because I could. I wanted to help make a difference if I could. I still donate to other veteran causes to this day in the hopes of making their lives just a little bit easier as we all get older.

I did my fair share of partying when I was younger. Now, I have A drink during Christmas and Easter, with my meal. I haven’t smoked any pot since well before my daughter was born. I like natural highs now. They are much more inspirational and heart warming than anything drug induced, aside from great sex with the one you love, of course.

Yes but it took a lot of time and a lot his spam before the action was taken. So he was given a preferential treatment (as usually) and essentially a free pass for way too long.

Didn’t you say that you refused to tell Jay about your stance? This is like someone getting robbed, refusing to report the crime, and then complaining about the police not catching him.

You completely missed the point here (your usual business anyway). I have never complained about the spam. In this case, I pointed out that Frink do get a preferential treatment since it was claimed otherwise. And I don’t really care about him getting a preferential treatment either. I simply care about facts.

I believe what imperial is trying to convey is that he doesn’t care if Mr. Frink gets the preferrential treatment, he would at least like it acknowledged that the preferrential treatment IS being given to Mr. Frink. I like Mr. Frink and have NO issues with him but I also believe he gets a pass a lot of times where others get the slap. Maybe it’s his uncanny and sometimes inconsistent wit that gets him off the hook but it took forever to get him to stop posting off-topic like a mad dog in the projects threads where that kind of behavior is punishable by the rules in that section.

Now, I think that Silverwook is a great mod, and I DO understand that he IS only 1 person who has a life outside of here. I don’t see any new mods coming on board at this time for fear they might not be as calm as Silverwook can be when acting on issues. Hell, the whole lot of us would probably get banned by a new mod without Wook’s sometime debilitating but genuine compassion for others, LOL.

No offense meant to anyone, I just wanted to say what I meant, not just what I wrote.

SRV’s guitars were a lightning rod for his soul. Without a doubt, as a child of the 80’s, he was the embodiment of the Texas Blues for me. Little Sister and Willy The Wimp are STILL two of my all time favorite songs by him. I have SRV on vinyl and that is the best way to listen to him aside from in the studio or on the stage. His music worked it’s way in to my life and I’ve kept it with me ever since.
