P.E. Harris and Company: An Aleutian Adventure (Late-1920’s) Previously Lost Film - 2K Restoration
Time

Hello All

I’d like to announce that I am putting up my first Kickstarter for the once lost film An Aleutian Adventure (late1920s). I had the opportunity earlier this year to come into possession of the original 35mm nitrate master positives and have since donated the film to the Library of Congress and have had the print scanned to 2K.

With your help and support the film will be professionally restored and released to Blu-Ray and DVD along with a brand new musical composition created by the composer David Drazin.

Also included as a bonus will be two cartoon shorts. Felix the Cat: Felix All at Sea from an original 35mm Nitrate and Looney Tunes: Daffy’s Southern Exposure from a WB original 16mm.

Please feel free to have a look at my Kickstarter page and help me to release this once lost film to Blu-Ray and DVD

Thank you all for your support!

Shrek Forever After - 35mm Scan Opportunity
Time

Hello everyone,

Recently I acquired a 35mm print of the feature Shrek Forever After. I’m wondering if there’s enough interest in doing a 4K scan of this print. Currently I am missing reel 1 which is the first 16 minutes of the film but otherwise the rest of the film is present.

There is also another copy of the full feature on eBay so if there’s enough interest I might also be looking for help to secure that print as well.

The goal of this project:
Full restoration of the film in its original theatrical version in 4K with both the analog and Dolby DTS audio tracks in English.

Costs to scan the print - $770

Also I do have a copy of the Shrek (2001) 35mm Trailer I might send to scan as well.

Thanks for looking!

Restoring The Mutt & Jeff Cartoons - Kickstarter
Time

Hello Everyone, I wanted to let you all know about a really great project going on. A group of animation fans have put together a Kickstarter to help save The Mutt & Jeff series from deteriorating 35mm Nitrate film prints and fully restore each short subject cartoon and is creating a new Blu-Ray set for all to enjoy. While I’m not directly involved I think it’s a wonderful project and hope they reach their goals to preserve such a great silent film series from being lost to time. Please feel free to follow the link and donate to the project. Thanks
