This may be a known issue, but if not I thought I’d just mention it.

The first time the Snow Speeders appear you can see through them to the mountains behind.

Anyway, thank you Harmy for your amazing work.

That’s how it is. In order to avoid matte lines (the black outline around objects in optical compositing) that would be apparent in the white Hoth scenes, the speeders were made semi transparent.

OK, I didn’t know that. Thank you

I guess you are attempting to use the “Uloz.to Manual Download” method? From what I’ve seen, that method has always been a little buggy.

For what it’s worth, I recommend using the “Multipart RAR Download” method. Seems like people run into fewer problems with it, and you get the same product in the end result.

The guide with links to the rars for that is here:

Thank you. I’m now using the Multipart RAR Download method you suggested. I’ve just got it working after updating java and following the instructions. Only about a 4 hour download for all the files compared to the manual download of around 12+ hours. Thanks again

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

Thanks for the welcome. I’m really pleased I’ve been able find these Despecialized Editions by Harmy. Having seen the original release in 77 at the age of 5 and ESB at 8, I have never been satisfied with George’s Special Editions. It’s very much like night and day… once you’ve seen the theatrical versions, nothing compares in my opinion. Those cgi additions are just too jarring and seem to take away from the realism of the original footage.

Anyway, just a heads up about downloading the MKV of Star Wars DE v2.7. After downloading part 2 of the rar file and extracting part 1, I received an error message that part 2 was corrupt. I downloaded part 2 again just to see if it was fixed but I received the same message.

I’ve just seen another listing on eBay. Seems to be a regular occurrence of late… it’s just unbelievable that these people don’t seem to have a conscience about scamming people and making money from other people’s hard work.

Reported. I mean at least this guy is only asking £3, unlike most other people asking a fortune. Still effed up though.

That’s because it’s an auction and it’s now gone up to £14 and probably more. I saw one listing where the seller had the cheek to mention Harmy and the fact you should own the official release before bidding, and then he contradicts himself by saying he’s giving the discs away free and you would only be paying for the packaging yet the listing was priced at £60+. I honestly don’t know who he thinks he’s kidding.

Hi,

I’ve just seen this listing of Harmy’s Despecialized Star Wars trilogy on eBay. I reported it as a bootleg on the listing page: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F273139608993

This guy is also trying to sell another set in an auction if you go to his page

I initially posted in the wrong thread and was redirected here. Sorry about that.
