I just completed my 10179 and I followed what you mentioned however I didn't realize the wanted list feature till later after I had made several orders.
Overall cost including shipping of my orders I built the 10179 for $880.00 US or 660.00 Euros to you. Like you 95% came from Bricklink and 3 orders from Legos.
Using Excel and then researching each item and finding best price really helped. If had just used the wanted list sooner I could have made less orders and saved a little more on shipping costs.
I am proud of my 10179 since I put more into it than someone who went and purchased original item. I am looking at 10129 Snowspeeder and 10212 Imperial Shuttle (since it was newly retired I think I can build it less than the $250.00 retail price tag.
